Περίληψη (Abstract): Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία αποτελεί μια προσπάθεια σύνδεσης της διδακτικής ενός από τα βασικά πεδία των Μαθηματικών, δηλαδή εκείνου της Γραμμικής Άλγεβρας, με μαθηματικά μοντέλα που χρησιμοποιούνται στη μελέτη της χρονικής εξέλιξης πληθυσμών. Στόχος είναι η αντίληψη της σπουδαιότητας διαφόρων εννοιών που συναντάμε στη Γραμμική Άλγεβρα όπως οι ιδιοτιμές, τα ιδιοδιανύσματα και η διαγωνιοποίηση.
