Στην παρούσα έρευνα επιχειρήθηκε η αξιολόγηση του εκπαιδευτικού προγράμματος «Εκμάθηση Ποντιακής Διαλέκτου» που πραγματοποιήθηκε στον Δήμο Ξάνθης κατά τα έτη 2014 – 2015. Η αξιολόγηση έγινε βάσει του τύπου της απολογιστικής, εξωτερικής αξιολόγησης και εφαρμόζοντας το μοντέλο των τεσσάρων επιπέδων που πρότεινε ο Donald L. Kirkpatrick. Η μέθοδος που ακολουθήθηκε στηρίχτηκε στην ποιοτική έρευνα με βασικό εργαλείο τη συνέντευξη. Οι συμμετέχοντες στην έρευνα αποτελούνταν από έντεκα (11) εκπαιδευόμενους του προγράμματος και δύο (2) εκπαιδευτές. Συνολικά συγκεντρώθηκαν, απομαγνητοφωνήθηκαν και αναλύθηκαν δεκατρείς (13) συνεντεύξεις. Σκοπός της έρευνας ήταν να εξετάσει και να αξιολογήσει την αποτελεσματικότητα του προγράμματος «Εκμάθηση Ποντιακής Διαλέκτου» του Δήμου Ξάνθης. Tα ερευνητικά ερωτήματα της παρούσας εργασίας ήταν τρία (3):
1. Κατά πόσο οι αρχικές προσδοκίες των εκπαιδευόμενων καλύφθηκαν από το πρόγραμμα;
2. Ποιες οι απόψεις των εκπαιδευτών για την αποτελεσματικότητα του προγράμματος;
3. Ποιες οι απόψεις των εκπαιδευόμενων για την αποτελεσματικότητα του προγράμματος;
Τα αποτελέσματα που προέκυψαν από τη διεξαχθείσα έρευνα φανερώνουν ότι το πρόγραμμα, σε γενικές γραμμές, μπορεί να θεωρηθεί επιτυχημένο. Με το πέρας του προγράμματος, οι εκπαιδευόμενοι φαίνεται ότι ικανοποίησαν τους αρχικούς στόχους που είχαν θέσει πριν την έναρξη αυτού. Ακόμη, οι απόψεις των εκπαιδευτών αλλά και των εκπαιδευόμενων όσον αφορά την αποτελεσματικότητα του προγράμματος κρίνονται θετικές. Και οι δύο πλευρές θεωρούν ότι το πρόγραμμα ήταν αποτελεσματικό σε επίπεδο μάθησης, περιεχομένου, στόχου και ατμόσφαιρας ενώ είχε βασικά προβλήματα στην οργάνωση τα οποία ωστόσο δεν απέτρεψαν τη μάθηση, που αποτελεί βασικό στοιχείο και ζητούμενο σε ένα εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα.
The present research demonstrates the evaluation of the educational program, namely “Learning of the Pontian Dialect”, performed in the Municipality of Xanthi for the time period of 2014-2015. The specific evaluation was based on debriefing, external assessment through the application of the Donald L. Kirkpatrick’s four-level model.
The methodology was employed through a qualitative research using interviews as the basic tool. The research participants consisted of eleven (11) trainees of the program and two (2) trainers. Overall, thirteen (13) interviews were conducted, transcribed and analysed. The aim of the study was to examine and assess the efficiency of the educational program “Learning of the Pontian Dialect” of the Municipality of Xanthi. The research questions of the study were three (3):
1. To which level were the trainees’ initial expectations covered by the program?
2. What is the opinion of the trainers regarding the program’s effectiveness?
3. What is the opinion of the trainees regarding the program’s effectiveness?
Overall, the results showcase that the program can be considered effective. It seems that the trainees’ initial expectations of the program were met. Moreover, both the trainers and the trainees hold a positive opinion regarding the efficiency of the program. Both sides acknowledged that the specific program was efficient in terms of learning, content, objective and pleasant environment, however basic problems were recognised regarding the organisation. Nevertheless, the learning process, which constitutes a key component of any educational program, was not discouraged by any means.
