    • Ο χώρος και ο χρόνος είναι αναγκαία στοιχεία στη σύνθεση ενός λογοτεχνικού κειμένου. Η λειτουργία του χώρου κατέχει σημαίνοντα ρόλο, ειδικά σε περιπτώσεις που θεματοποιείται, που μετατρέπεται δηλαδή από έναν ουδέτερο χώρο δράσης των ηρώων σε χώρο - πρωταγωνιστή. Η παρούσα εργασία διερευνά τη λειτουργία του χώρου στο έργο Το τέλος της μικρής μας πόλης του Δημήτρη Χατζή και στα Γυάλινα Γιάννενα του Μιχάλη Γκανά. Και οι δύο δημιουργοί αντλούν την καταγωγή τους από την Ήπειρο. Ο γενέθλιος τόπος της ηπειρώτικης γης και μάλιστα τα Γιάννενα, ανιχνεύονται στα έργα τους. Εξετάζεται λοιπόν ο τρόπος που μεταλειτουργεί ο τόπος στα διηγήματα του Χατζή και την ποίηση του Γκανά, λαμβάνοντας υπόψη όχι μόνο την κοινή καταγωγή τους αλλά και το κοινό βίωμα της προσφυγιάς που χαρακτηρίζει τη ζωή των δύο συγγραφέων.
    • Space and time are fundamental elements of the fabula. Place can be just a frame, a place of action or it can remain in the backround. In some cases, however, it becomes an object of presentation itself, thus becoming an acting place rather than the place of action. Place is not just a neutral topological position in which the heroes are situated and the events take place. It rather has its own voice. This essay explores the role of place in Dimitris Hatzis’ The end of our small town and Michalis Ganas’Giannena of glass. Both writers share a common origin, that of Epirus. Their birthplace, the epirotic land and the city of Giannena are traced in both their work. It is therefore examined how the place functions in the short stories of Hatzis and the poetry of Ganas, having regard not only to their common origin but also to the immigration, exile and experiences of the Second World War and the Civil War, that affected the life and writing of both writers.
