Η ψηφιακή αφήγηση, ως μέθοδος διδασκαλίας, εμφανίζεται τα τελευταία χρόνια όλο και συχνότερα στα εκπαιδευτικά περιβάλλοντα, αποτελώντας μια καινοτόμα διδακτική πρακτική. Με την παρούσα εργασία επιχειρείται να παρουσιαστεί η σχέση της ψηφιακής αφήγησης με τα Μαθηματικά και συγκεκριμένα με πρωτομαθηματικές έννοιες γεωμετρίας στο Νηπιαγωγείο. Διερευνάται, επίσης, κατά πόσο οι μικροί μαθητές μπορούν να συμμετέχουν δημιουργικά στην παραγωγή μιας ιστορίας και στην μετατροπή της σε ψηφιακή.Στο πρώτο μέρος της εργασίας προσεγγίζεται το θεωρητικό πλαίσιο αναφοράς αυτής της διδακτικής μεθόδου. Αναλύονται οι όροι αφήγηση και ψηφιακή αφήγηση, καθώς και η σχέση τους με την εκπαίδευση, γίνεται μια ιστορική αναδρομή, αναφέρονται τα δομικά στοιχεία της μεθόδου, τα οφέλη της αξιοποίησής της στην τάξη, ο τρόπος που οι μαθητές μαθαίνουν και ο τρόπος που η ψηφιακή αφήγηση μορεί να αξιοποιηθεί σε μία τάξη Νηπιαγωγείου. Στο δεύτερο μέρος παρουσιάζονται και αναλύονται τα ερευνητικά ευρήματα, η διαδικασία εξέλιξης της ψηφιακής ιστορίας στην τάξη και τα συμπεράσματα που προήλθαν από τη διδακτική παρέμβαση.

In recent years, digital storytelling is applied more and more frequently in educational environments, signaling an innovative teaching practice. This dissertation constitutes an attempt to pinpoint the contribution of digital storytelling to teaching Mathematics, and more specifically, to introducing elementary concepts of geometry in kindergarten. The question whether young learners can participate creatively in the production of a story and transform it into a digital one is also delved into. The first part of the paper presents the theoretical reference framework of this teaching method. The terms narrative and digital storytelling are analyzed, their connection with education is shown and a historical review is made. Moreover, the structural elements of the method are mentioned, the benefits of using it in the classroom as well as the way students benefit from it are pinpointed, and the way digital storytelling can be used in a kindergarten class is showcased. In the second part, the research findings are presented, the process of developing a digital history in the classroom is explained and the conclusions derived regarding the particular teaching technique are analyzed.
