    • Αυτή η Διπλωματική Εργασία, στόχο έχει να εξετάσει την παραχώρηση των Εκκλησιαστικών Επαρχιών των περιοχών που απελευθερώθηκαν από τους Βαλκανικούς Πολέμους και προσαρτήθηκαν στην Ελλάδα, δηλαδή της Ηπείρου, της Μακεδονίας, της Θράκης και των Νησιών του Αιγαίου, οι Μητροπόλεις τω οποίων ανήκαν πνευματικά στο Οικουμενικό Πατριαρχείο και υπό όρους παραχωρήθηκαν Διοικητικά στην Αυτοκέφαλη Εκκλησία της Ελλάδος.Το πλούσιο ιστορικό παρασκήνιο, οι διενέξεις, οι παρεμβάσεις και γενικά τα ιστορικά γεγονότα που έλαβαν χώρα εξαιτίας αυτής της πράξεως, είναι αυτά που απασχόλησαν την παρούσα εργασία.
    • The Metropolitan of Thessaloniki and the rest Bishops they were in corporate into a much geographically broader group of Dioceses. The Metropoles of what is known as the “ Naae Chorae”. This area is under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. From the 8th century however when Eastern Ilyricum was removed from the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of Rome it came under the jurisdiction of the Archbishop of Constantinople –New Rome and under the Ecumenical Patriarch. The Metropolitans from 1924 were elevated now they were incorporated of what is known as the “Neae Chorae “ Agreement some years after was finally reached between the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Greek Governed with the assent also of the Autocephalous Church of Greece. In the year 1928 a Patriarchal and Synodic Act was issued under Patriarch Ecumenical Basil «on the Administration of the Holy Metropoles of the Neae Chorae » Under the terms of this Act the administration in parts was a assigned by proxy i,e temporarily to the Autocephalous Church of Greece. In accordance with this Patriarchal and Synodic Act the Metropoles of the “Neae Chorae” are under the sovereignty of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. However the administrative regime governing the metropoles of the Neae Chorae is not a historical, theoretical issue. The agreement that finally reached between the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Greek government, with theassent also of of the Autocephalous Church of Greece ,it is in force today and defined by existing ecclesiastical and state legislation.
