    • Το πρόβλημα που πραγματεύεται η μεταπτυχιακή διπλωματική εργασία είναι αφενός η διερεύνηση των αιτιών που προκάλεσαν την μεγάλη κατολίσθηση του 2003 στην περιοχή της Τσακώνας Ν. Αρκαδίας, η οποία είχε ως συνέπεια την καταστροφή τμήματος της Εθνικής Οδού Τρίπολης-Καλαμάτας και αφετέρου η παρουσίαση του μεγέθους και της εξέλιξης των μετακινήσεων της κατολισθαίνουσας περιοχής. Επίσης παρουσιάζεται, η επιλογή γεφύρωσης της κατολίσθησης και αποκατάστασης της κυκλοφορίας της Εθνικής Οδού με την κατασκευή της τοξωτής γέφυρας Τ4, καθώς και η περιγραφή της κατασκευής της. Τέλος περιγράφεται η έννοια της διαχείρισης των κινδύνων τεχνικού έργου, ενώ παράλληλα προτείνεται η συμπλήρωση ενός φύλλου κινδύνου, το οποίο αφορά στην αντιμετώπιση του κινδύνου αστοχίας αναρτήρων της γέφυρας.
    • The current thesis is addressing the case of investigation of the root causes for the great landslide of 2003 in the area of Tsakona at Arcadia prefecture, which caused the destruction of a long section of Tripoli-Kalamata National Road. In addition to the aforementioned, it presents the size and progression of the landslides of the subject landslide area. Furthermore, it presents the option of bridging the landslide and rehabilitation of the National Road by means of T4 arched bridge construction, as well as the methodology for the construction of the bridge. Finally, the concept of risk management of a technical project is analyzed, while the filling in of a risk evaluation sheet is proposed as far as the addressing of the risk of bridge failure is concerned.
