    • Το άγχος το οποίο βιώνεται από τους μαθητές όταν μιλάνε στην ξένη γλώσσα,θεωρείται ένα από τα προβλήματα που επηρρεάζουν σημαντικά τους μαθητές και τους εμποδίζει από το να μάθουν την ξένη γλώσσα.Οι αυξημένες απαιτήσεις από τους μαθητές που μαθαίνουν τα Αγγλικά ως δεύτερη ξένη γλώσσα ,συχνά δημιουργούν άγχος στους μαθητές που επηρρεάζει την απόδοση τους.Οι εκπαιδευτικοί από την άλλη πλευρά δεν αναγνωρίζουν πάντα τους αγχωμένους μαθητές και συχνά αποδίδουν την απροθυμία τους να συμμετάσχουν στον προφορικό λόγο σε παράγοντες όπως η έλλειψη κινήτρου ή χαμηλή επίδοση.Η μελέτη αυτή στοχεύει στο να βρει τις αιτίες του άγχους που νιώθουν οι μαθητέςόταν μαθαίνουν Αγγλικά και στο να εξετάσει την επίδραση συγκεκριμένων διδακτικών τεχνικών στη μείωση του άγχους. Ένας αριθμός μαθητών απάντησε σε ένα ερωτηματολόγιο και στη συνέχεια πάρθηκαν συνεντεύξεις από ορισμένους μαθητές για να αξιολογήσουμε αν οι στρατηγικές που εφαρμόστηκαν με τις δραστηριότητες είχαν αντίκτυπο στη μείωση του άγχους που νιώθουν οι μαθητές όταν μιλάνε..Αφού ερμηνευθούν τα δεδομένα ,συγκεκριμένες προτάσεις θα γίνουν για να μειωθεί το άγχος που νιώθουν οι μαθητές.
    • Anxiety, encountered by learners when speaking in the foreign language classroom, is considered to be one of the most affective problems that can prevent learners from learning the target language. The use of modern communicative language teaching EFL approaches, and the widespread use of English language over the last century have increased the demand to acquire skills related with EFL. However, the increased demand for EFL often creates anxiety among the learners, which affects their performance.Those learners pose feelings of anxiety, apprehension and nervousness among the EFL learners, which exerts a detrimental effect on communication. Teachers, on the other hand, do not always identify the anxious students and they often attribute their unwillingness to participate in speaking tasks to factors such as lack of motivation or low performance. The study aims at finding the causes of speaking anxiety that learners feel when learning English in the secondary school. This will be a quasi-experimental study, which will be conducted to examine the effect of using specific teaching strategies in reducing EFL Learners' speaking anxiety. During the research, the learners were asked to perform certain activities.A number of students were given a questionnaire to answer and then some of the students were interviewed before and after the activities were implemented in order to assess the effect the specific strategies had on the speaking anxiety that the learners face. The research findings will be interpreted and specific suggestions will be made in order to alleviate the problem in reference to the particular target group.
