    • Ο σκοπός της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η δημιουργία ενός διδακτικού εγχειριδίου κατάλληλου για τους σπουδαστές της ειδικότητας «Τεχνικός Αρτοποιός-Ζαχαροπλάστης», που φοιτούν στα Δημόσια Ινστιτούτα Επαγγελματικής Κατάρτισης (ΔΙΕΚ). Το συγκεκριμένο εγχειρίδιο που προτείνεται, δημιουργήθηκε λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τη θεωρία της εκπαίδευσης ενηλίκων και των Αγγλικών για ειδικούς σκοπούς (ESP), τη μέθοδο της Δραστηριοκεντρικής Μάθησης (Task-based Language Teaching), τον οδηγό σπουδών της συγκεκριμένης ειδικότητας, καθώς και τις ανάγκες των αρτοζαχαροπλαστών σπουδαστών που φοιτούν στα ΔΙΕΚ, για την ανίχνευση των οποίων επιστρατεύθηκαν ερωτηματολόγια και συνεντεύξεις. Μετά από τη συζήτηση των παραμέτρων που λήφθηκαν υπ’όψιν για τη δημιουργία του διδακτικού εγχειριδίου και την παρουσίαση και ερμηνεία των ευρημάτων της έρευνας, παρουσιάζονται τα περιεχόμενα και μια περιγραφή του βιβλίου, και αναλύεται ένα κεφάλαιό του, που στηρίζεται στη Δραστηριοκεντρική Μάθηση. Τέλος, η διπλωματική εργασία κλείνει με τους περιορισμούς της έρευνας και κάποιες προτάσεις για περαιτέρω έρευνα.
    • The aim of the dissertation is to develop an English for Specific Purposes (ESP) textbook, suitable for learners who attend the Baking and Pastry Course at Public Vocational Training Institutes (VTI). The textbook proposed was developed taking into consideration the theory for Adult Education (AE) and ESP, the Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT), the curriculum for the specific specialty, and the specific English language needs of pastry chef learners, which were investigated through the employment of questionnaires and interviews. After the discussion of the parameters that were taken into consideration for the development of the textbook and the presentation and interpretation of the findings of the research, the contents page and a description of the textbook, as well as an analysis of a TBLT unit are presented. The dissertation concludes with an outlook on the limitations of the study and some suggestions for further research.
