    • Αρκετές πρόσφατες μελέτες δείχνουν ότι η μαθησιακή διαδικασία των μαθητών μπορεί να έχει αξιοσημείωτα οφέλη από τη χρήση της αφήγησης στο πλαίσιο διδασκαλίας. Αυτή η μελέτη εκτιμά ότι η χρήση ψηφιακών βίντεο αφήγησης μπορεί να βελτιώσει τις ικανότητες των μαθητών να μάθουν μια ξένη γλώσσα, όπως τα Αγγλικά αποτελεσματικά. Αυτή η έρευνα εφαρμόζει DST βίντεο σε ένα ειδικά σχεδιασμένο πρόγραμμα μαθημάτων για τις εξετάσεις KPG. Οι συμμετέχοντες της ομάδας ελέγχου ακολουθούν μια προσέγγιση βιβλίου μαθημάτων. Αντίθετα, οι συμμετέχοντες της πειραματικής ομάδας εκτίθενται σε DST βίντεο μαζί με το βιβλίο μαθημάτων. Τα αποτελέσματα των ανεξάρτητων δειγμάτων t-τεστ δείχνουν μια στατιστική σημασία μεταξύ των αποτελεσμάτων της ομάδας ελέγχου και της πειραματικής ομάδας. Η στατιστική σημασία των δοκιμών δείχνει ότι τα βίντεο DST έχουν θετικό αντίκτυπο στην απόδοση των μαθητών σε όλες σχεδόν τις ενότητες των εξετάσεων KPG. Προτείνεται περαιτέρω έρευνα με τη χρήση ενός μεγαλύτερου δείγματος.
    • Many recent studies, for example Ellis& Brewster, 2002, show that the learning process of students can have notable benefits from the use of storytelling in the teaching framework. This study estimates that the use of digital storytelling videos can improve students' abilities to learn a foreign language, such as English, effectively. This research implements Digital Storytelling videos to a specially designed lesson plan for the Greek State Certificate of Language Competence (KPG) exam. The participants of the control group follow a coursebook approach. On the contrary, the participants of the experimental group are exposed to DST videos along with the coursebook. The results of the independent sample t-tests suggest a statistical significance between the results of the control and the experimental group. The statistical significance of the tests indicates that the Digital Storytelling videos do have a positive impact on students’ performance in almost all sections of the KPG exam. Further research is suggested with the use of a larger sample.
