    • Within the context of an EFL class in a Greek state Senior High School, the present study aims to explore the concept of Digital Citizenship and the development of new literacies such as media literacy, digital information literacy, digital literacy as well as other essential skills for the digital citizen of the 21st century. To that end a project in a blended learning environment was conducted that focused on aspects of digital citizenship relevant to the learners’ lives. With the help of a combination of web 2.0 tools, namely a wiki, the social network Twitter, YouTube and software relevant to the creation of infographics and digital narratives, learners cultivated their digital abilities, gained an awareness and understanding of the multifaceted concept of Digital Citizenship and developed life skills such as cooperation, problem solving and critical thinking; there was also increased engagement with the material and motivation to participate in the activities.
    • Στα πλαίσιο της τάξης των Αγγλικών σε ένα δημόσιο Λύκειο, η παρούσα εργασία σκοπεύει να εξερευνήσει την έννοια της Ψηφιακής Πολιτότητας και την ανάπτυξη νέων γραμματισμών, όπως γραμματισμό των μέσων, γραμματισμό της ψηφιακής πληροφορίας, ψηφιακό γραμματισμό αλλά και άλλες ικανότητες απαραίτητες στον ψηφιακό πολίτη του 21ου αιώνα. Γι’ αυτό το σκοπό υλοποιήθηκε ένα πρότζεκτ το οποίο εστίασε σε ζητήματα της ψηφιακής πολιτότητας που αφορούσαν τον τρόπο ζωής των μαθητών. Με την βοήθεια ενός συνδυασμού εργαλείων web 2.0, συγκεκριμένα, ένα wiki, το κοινωνικό μέσο δικτύωσης Twitter, το YouTube, και άλλες ψηφιακές εφαρμογές που έχουν σχέση με την κατασκευή γραφημάτων και ψηφιακών αφηγήσεων, οι μαθητές καλλιέργησαν τις ψηφιακές ικανότητες τους, κατανόησαν το πολύπλευρο ζήτημα της ψηφιακής πολιτότητας και ανέπτυξαν ικανότητες συνεργασίας, επίλυσης προβλημάτων και κριτικής σκέψης ενώ υπήρξε επίσης αυξημένη συμμετοχή και κινητοποίηση των μαθητών.
