    • Η διπλωματική εργασία με θέμα «πολιτική και κοινωνική αφίσα» έχει σκοπό να καταγράψει πώς το συγκεκριμένο είδος αφίσας, χρησιμοποιείται ως επικοινωνιακό μέσο, έτσι ώστε να δημιουργεί τα επιδιωκόμενα μηνύματα και συμπαραδηλώσεις στον δέκτη. Η αφίσα περιέχει γραπτό μήνυμα και εικόνα. Η κατασκευή της εξαρτάται από τις εκάστοτε τεχνικές της τυπογραφίας, μέσω της οποίας αναπαράγεται σε αντίτυπα και αναρτάται σε περίοπτες θέσεις. Συνήθως τοποθετείται σε πολυσύχναστους χώρους αποβλέποντας να «εισβάλει» στο οπτικό πεδίο του καθένα, με στόχο να αιφνιδιάσει και να εντυπωθεί στο υποσυνείδητο, δημιουργώντας στη συνέχεια την ανάγκη για σχολιασμό. Γίνεται αντιληπτό ότι η πολιτική/ κοινωνική αφίσα είναι ένα καθαρό (και παραδοσιακό) μέσο επικοινωνίας που έχει παίξει σημαντικό ρόλο στη διάδοση ιδεών και απόψεων σε διάφορες στιγμές της νεότερης ιστορίας. Παράλληλα, πραγματοποιείται ιστορική αναδρομή για την πολιτική και κοινωνική αφίσα, κάνοντας αναφορά στις χρονικές περιόδους που ήταν ιδιαίτερα σημαντικές για την εξέλιξη της. Η πολιτική αφίσα χρησιμοποιήθηκε για την επιβολή θέσεων και την πειθώ σε διάφορα κοινωνικά στρώματα, άλλοτε με άμεσα επαναστατική μορφή και άλλοτε με έμμεση μορφή χειραγώγησης και προπαγάνδας. Μέσα από την σύνθεση της προσπαθεί, ακόμα και σήμερα, να κεντρίσει το βλέμμα του περαστικού και να τον πείσει για την ιδέα και την άποψη, τους λόγους δηλαδή που ο πομπός τη δημιούργησε. Για αυτόν τον λόγο, δημιουργείται η αναγκαιότητα να πραγματοποιηθεί εκτενής έρευνα για την ανάλυση της σύνθεσης και γενικότερα της αισθητικής που χρησιμοποιείται από το συγκεκριμένο είδος αφίσας, ώστε να γίνουν κατανοητά τα επικοινωνιακά στοιχεία που χρησιμοποιούνται ανάλογα με την κατεύθυνση και το μήνυμα που στοχεύει να δώσει ο σχεδιαστής της στο κοινό, καθώς και πως αυτά τροποποιούνται και εξελίσσονται στην πορεία του χρόνου. Καθώς οι νέες τεχνολογίες αναπτύσσονται ραγδαία και τα μέσα επικοινωνίας εξελίσσονται και αλλάζουν, το περιεχόμενο και η φόρμα της πολιτικής αφίσας, δεν μένουν ίδια, επανασχεδιάζονται και επαναπροσδιορίζονται. Παρόλα αυτά, παρατηρείται ότι παραμένει ένα σημαντικό μέσο ελεύθερης έκφρασης ομάδων, ενώσεων, καθώς και μηχανισμός επηρεασμού της κοινής γνώμης. Η εργασία θα μελετήσει και θα αναφέρει την μορφή που είχε στο παρελθόν και έχει στις μέρες μας το συγκεκριμένο είδος αφίσας.
    • This thesis on “the political and social poster” purpose is to define in what way is this particular poster genre used as a means of communication, in order to form the intended signals and connotations to the receiver. The poster contains both a written signal and an image, its construction depends on the current typography techniques, by which the poster is reproduced in copies and is displayed in prominent places. It is often installed in busy places attempting to “penetrate” in peoples field of vision, aiming to surprise and to be imbedded on the subconscious, causing eventually the need for discussion. It can be seen that the political/ social poster is a pure (and traditional) means of communication with a key role in spreading ideas and views of thinking throughout various moments in recent history. At the same time, there is a historical review concerning the political and social poster realised, through several references on the most critical time periods for the posters evolution. The political poster was used to impose positions and to persuade several social classes, either on a direct revolutionary form, either on an implicit form of manipulation and propaganda. Through its formulation it strives, to this day, to stimulate the occasional passer-by and convince him of the designertransimitter’s ideas and opinions It is for this reason, that it is crucial to put the analysis of the formulation into further research as well as the whole aesthetic agenda used by this specific poster genre, to ensure that the communicational tools used are accessible, given the fact that they are transforming according to the perspective and the signal its designer intends to give to an audience, in addition to their alteration and evolution throughout time. New technologies develop rapidly, leading to the evolution and modification of the communication means, the political poster changes, is redesigned and redefined in matters of content and form. Nonetheless, it still remains, as observed, an important means of free expression used by groups and unions, as well as a mechanism to influence the public opinion. This thesis will study and report the form of this poster genre, not only during the past but to this day.
