    • Η διπλωματική εργασία εκπονήθηκε στο πλαίσιο του ΠΜΣ «Κοινωνική & Αλληλέγγυα Οικονομία» και εξετάζει την περίπτωση της Ιεράς Μονής Τιμίου Προδρόμου με έδρα την Ανατολή Αγιάς του Νομού Λάρισας. Σκοπός είναι να μελετήσει και να αναδείξει την Ι. Μονή ως Κοινό υπό το πρίσμα της Κοινωνικής και Αλληλέγγυας Οικονομίας. Η μοναδικότητα του εγχειρήματος της μοναστικής αδελφότητας σε σχέση με άλλα μοναστήρια στην Ελλάδα, στην παραγωγή, συλλογή, διατήρηση, διανομή φυσικών σπόρων χωρίς υβριδική η γενετική παρέμβαση, συνέτεινε ενισχυτικά στην επιλογή της συγκεκριμένης Μονής ως περίπτωση μελέτης. Επιπροσθέτως, η Ι. Μονή διαχειρίζεται σημαντικούς φυσικούς πόρους με παραδοσιακούς τρόπους σεβόμενη το φυσικό περιβάλλον αποτελώντας έτσι ένα συνεκτικό σύστημα βιοφυσικών και κοινωνικών παραγόντων που αλληλεπιδρούν μεταξύ τους, καθιστώντας την ένα κοινωνικό – οικολογικό σύστημα. Μεθοδολογικό εργαλείο τόσο στην έρευνα όσο και για την εξαγωγή συμπερασμάτων είναι το μοντέλο ανάλυσης Social – Ecological System (SES) και το σύνολο των οκτώ αρχών σχεδιασμού που είχε αναπτύξει η διεθνούς φήμης αμερικανίδα πολιτικός επιστήμονας Έλινορ Όστρομ (1933-2012) και αποτελούν σήμερα την βάση για ανάλογες μελέτες.
    • The current master’s Thesis was elaborated within the framework of the postgraduate program "Social & Solidarity Economy" and examines the case of the Holy Monastery of Saint John the Forerunner, located in the village of Anatoli Agias in the Prefecture of Larissa. The aim is to understand the Holy Monastery as a Commons in the light of the Social and Solidarity Economy. The uniqueness of the enterprise of the monastic sisterhood in relation to other monasteries in Greece in the production, collection, preservation, distribution of natural seeds without hybrid or genetic intervention contributed to the selection of the particular monastery as a case study. In addition, the Monastery manages a number of natural resources in traditional ways respecting the natural environment, thus forming a coherent system of biophysical and social factors that interact with each other, making it an integrated socio-ecological system. A methodological tool that was employed in analyzing the case and drawing conclusions is the Social - Ecological System (SES) framework and the eight design principles developed by the internationally renowned American political scientist Elinor Ostrom (1933-2012), both of which are currently a basis for such studies.
