    • Η ακόλουθη έρευνα στοχεύει στην παροχή μιας ξεκάθαρης εικόνας για τη γλωσσική στάση έφηβων προσφύγων απέναντι στη διατήρηση της μητρικής τους γλώσσας, όπως αυτή διαμορφώνεται στο ελληνικό πλαίσιο. Δέκα μαθητές που είναι εγγεγραμένοι σε Τάξεις Υποδοχής έδωσαν συνέντευξη με σκοπό να φέρουμε στο φως πώς εκλαμβάνουν τη μητρική τους γλώσσα και πώς η διατήρησή της επηρεάζεται από την επίσημη εκπαίδευση και τη στάση των δασκάλων. Επίσης, πήραμε συνένετεξη και από 4 δασκάλους για διασταύρωση των αποτελεσμάτων. Οι μαθητές εκδήλωσαν θετική στάση απέναντι στη διατήρηση της πρώτης τους γλώσσας, η οποία δεν μεταβάλλεται στο εκπαιδευτικό περιβάλλον. Ωστόσο, είχαμε μεικτά αποτελέσματα όσον αφορά στη στάση που προκύπτει από τις μεθόδους των εκπαιδευτικών, κάτι που καθιστά επιτακτική την ανάγκη κατάρτισης εκπαιδευτικών στη διαπολυτισμική εκπαίδευση.
    • The following study aims to provide a clear image on refugee children’s attitudes towards their home language maintenance as they are shaped in a Greek speaking environment. Ten students who attend Reception Classes were interviewed in order to find out how they perceive their home language and how its maintenance is affected by the formal educational domain and the teachers’ attitudes. For better results regarding the last parameter five teachers were also interviewed. Refugee children strongly expressed positive attitudes towards mother tongue maintenance which were not altered when limited to school environment. However, mixed attitudes emerged by educational staff’s practices associated with first language use inside the classroom accentuating the need for adequate teacher training.
