    • Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία ερευνά την αποτελεσματικότητα του εκπαιδευτικού υλικού το οποίο είναι ειδικά σχεδιασμένο για τη εκμάθηση δευτέρων γλωσσών σε προσφυγικούς και μεταναστευτικούς πληθυσμούς. Ο σκοπός αυτής της έρευνας είναι α) να διερευνηθούν οι εμπειρίες και η εκπαίδευση των εκπαιδευτικών που διδάσκουν την ελληνική σα ξένη γλώσσα στους πληθυσμούς αυτούς, β) να διερευνηθεί η χρήση διαφόρων τρόπων επικοινωνίας μέσα και έξω από τα πλαίσια της τάξης, γ) να καθοριστεί ποιες διδακτικές μέθοδοι και πρακτικές είναι οι πιο χρήσιμες σε τάξεις όπου πρόσφυγες και μετανάστες διδάσκονται την ελληνική ως δεύτερη ξένη γλώσσα, δ) να διερευνηθούν οι απόψεις των εκπαιδευτικών σχετικά με το εκπαιδευτικό υλικό που μας προσφέρουν τα εγχειρίδια εντάξει και σινιάλο. Οι στόχοι της έρευνας επιτεύχθηκαν μέσα από πρώτα την ανασκόπηση της ήδη υπάρχουσας βιβλιογραφίας πάνω στη διδασκαλία δευτέρων γλωσσών σε προσφυγικούς και μεταναστευτικούς πληθυσμούς και έπειτα μέσα από την έρευνα που διενεργήθηκε σε καθηγητές που διδάσκουν την ελληνική σε πρόσφυγες και μετανάστες με τη χρήση των υλικών του «Εντάξει» και «Σινιάλο». Για τους σκοπούς αυτής της ποιοτικής έρευνας χρησιμοποιήθηκαν ημι-δομημένες συνεντεύξεις. Τα αποτελέσματα αυτής της έρευνας έδειξαν ελλείψεις στην εκπαίδευση των καθηγητών, οι οποίες ενδέχεται να επηρεάζουν τη χρήση σύγχρονων παιδαγωγικών μεθόδων στην τάξη, τρόπους με τους οποίου θα μπορούσε να καλυτερεύσει το υλικό που απευθύνεται στη διδασκαλία των πληθυσμών αυτών καθώς και προτάσεις για μελλοντική έρευνα.
    • This dissertation study investigates the effectiveness of second language educational material designed for refugee and migrant populations. The aim of this paper is to a) look into the experience educators teaching Greek as a second language to refugee and migrant groups possess, b) investigate the different ways of communication used outside and inside the classroom, c) determine which teaching methods and practices are the most useful in a second language teaching context consisted of refugee and migrant populations, d) investigate teachers’ opinions over the educational material “Entaxei” and “Sinialo”. The goals of this research were achieved by firstly reviewing the already existing literature on refugee and migrant second language teaching and afterwards conducting a research attended by educators who teach Greek as a second language to refugee and migrant adolescents through the use of the educational material of “Entaxei” and “Sinialo”. For the purposes of this qualitative research, semi structured interviews took place. The results of this study showed a lack in teacher training which could possibly affect the use of appropriate teaching methods in the classroom, ways in which the educational material designed for refugees and migrants could be improved and suggestions for further research.
