    • This thesis refers to the digital transformation of banks and the impact of startups (Revolut, Snapi, N26) on the traditional banking system, through an empirical study of systemic banks in Greece. For the purpose of the thesis, a mixed research method was implemented: a quantitative analysis of indicators for startups, interviews with six banking executives and a quantitative research, based on TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) questionnaire that was completed by 113 bank customers. Indicators’ outcomes showed that the situation of the Greek banking sector regarding the adoption of startups (Revolut, Snappi, N26) seems to be promising. The qualitative research highlighted significant benefits by the adoption of startups, as well as critical challenges. The level of perceived ease of use of users regarding the use of Revolut, Snappi and N26 tools was low. Their level of perception regarding the usefulness of these tools, appeared to be neutral. The research highlighted the need for a hybrid model of cooperation between traditional and digital banking, as well as the importance of strengthening the regulatory framework and the need for adequate information and education around the adoption of startups in our country.
