    • This thesis examines the financial dynamics of the renewable energy sector internationally and in EU, focusing especially on Motor Oil Renewable Energy S.A. (MORE) within the Greek market from 2019 to 2023.  

      It analyzes the company's financial statements, profitability, liquidity, leverage, and operational efficiency, benchmarking MORE against Terna Energy S.A. and broader RES industry metrics. The research highlights MORE's rapid expansion, strategic acquisitions, and evolving capital structure, showing how its transition from a conventional subsidiary to a leading RES aggregator shaped its financial performance. 

      Comparisons reveal strengths in market positioning but also volatility in profitability and leverage risks. The study contextualizes MORE’s financial trajectory within global and European renewable energy trends, assessing policy impacts and investment drivers.  

      The conclusions provide insights into future strategic opportunities, identifying potential risks and proposing paths for optimizing financial sustainability within Greece’s evolving clean energy sector.
