The purpose of this dissertation is the analysis of technologies that are under development that will lead to green aviation in the future, similar to other industries. The ultimate goal of green aviation is to deal with environmental change and contribute to green growth. The dissertation will refer to and analyze different technologies that can contribute to the achievement of the above while analyzing each technology’s advantages and disadvantages as well as its technological characteristics. Moreover, there will be a critical analysis of the way specific airlines react to green aviation considering the current technological tools and their established processes and procedures. The required advancements in the current equipment to be upgraded will also be examined. The results of a primary research (questionnaire) aiming to collect the opinion of people on such a change both from an environmental and a security perspective, will be presented. What is interesting is to be able to identify whether this development hides any risk, in terms of acceptance from the public. The zero-emissions aviation is important, in terms of reduced pollution, green growth, sustainability, increased safety, etc.
