    • This thesis aims to explore the complex relationship between mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and market competition, employing a managerial economics perspective. M&A activities have become increasingly prevalent in today's global business environment, reshaping industries and influencing market dynamics. Understanding the effects of these transactions on competition is crucial for both practitioners and policymakers.
      The methodology employed in this thesis will involve a comprehensive literature review to establish a theoretical foundation. Additionally, quantitative analysis will be conducted using relevant financial and market data to assess the impact of M&A on competition. Various economic models, such as game theory and industrial organization theory, will be utilized to analyze the strategic behavior of merging firms and its consequences for market competition.
