Η επικοινωνιακή και οικονομική πολιτική ενός πολιτιστικού οργανισμού αποτελούν απαραίτητα εργαλεία για τη βιωσιμότητα και την προώθησή του στο σύγχρονο ανταγωνιστικό περιβάλλον του ψηφιακού μετασχηματισμού.
Το Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο της Ήλιδας είναι αρχιτεκτονικά ένα θαυμάσιο, εργοδυναμικό κτήριο, στο οποίο φυλάσσονται αρχαιολογικά ευρήματα ανεκτίμητης πολιτιστικής αξίας από την περιοχή. Ωστόσο, σύμφωνα με τα ευρήματα της εργασίας τόσο η επικοινωνιακή, όσο και η οικονομική πολιτική του Μουσείου βρίσκονται σε χαμηλό και αναποτελεσματικό επίπεδο, με αποτέλεσμα το Μουσείο να είναι εν πολλοίς άγνωστο στο ευρύ κοινό σε πανελλήνιο και διεθνές επίπεδο και παράλληλα αναχρονιστικό, σε επίπεδο τρόπου ανάδειξης των εκθεμάτων του.
Η παρούσα εργασία επιχειρεί να παρουσιάσει ολοκληρωμένες προτάσεις επικοινωνιακής και οικονομικής πολιτικής σε πραγματικό και ψηφιακό περιβάλλον, οι οποίες μπορούν να βοηθήσουν το Μουσείο της Ήλιδας στη βελτίωση και την προώθηση των πολιτιστικών υπηρεσιών και προϊόντων του.
Όσον αφορά την οικονομική πολιτική, η εργασία προτείνει ως εναλλακτικές μορφές χρηματοδότησης, τη χορηγία, τη εκμίσθωση του εστιατορίου – καφέ του Μουσείου που δεν λειτουργεί και το Crowdfunding, δηλαδή τη μορφή διαδικτυακής χρηματοδότησης, η οποία πραγματοποιείται μέσω μιας ηλεκτρονικής πλατφόρμας. Η πλατφόρμα αυτή είναι ανοικτή σε όλους όσους θέλουν να ενισχύσουν οικονομικά έναν πολιτιστικό οργανισμό. Είναι ένα είδος «πολιτιστικού εράνου», τα χρήματα του οποίου πηγαίνουν στον πολιτιστικό οργανισμό για να καλύψει ορισμένες ανάγκες του. Το crowdfunding, αν και έχει ενεργοποιηθεί μέσω του προγράμματος My Kαssopi του Σωματείου Διάζωμα για όλα τα αρχαία θέατρα της χώρας, ακόμη δεν αποτελεί ενεργό τρόπο χρηματοδότησης, καθώς για το θέατρο της Ήλιδας που βρίσκεται πλησίον του Μουσείου δεν έχει κανένα αποτέλεσμα.
