    • Η αφετηρία γίνεται με μια σύντομη παρουσίαση και ανάλυση των τύπων καθεστώτων συναλλαγματικών ισοτιμιών. Το κέντρο της προσοχής στρέφεται στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση, το μεταβατικό δρόμο προς τη δημιουργία της και τις τωρινές συνθήκες, στον απόηχο και της οικονομικής κρίσης του 2008. Ιδιαίτερο βάρος δίνεται στη νομισματική και δημοσιονομική πολιτική. Κατόπιν, διεξάγεται μια ανασκόπηση στη νομισματική ιστορία της Κίνας. Αναλύονται κάποιοι από τους βασικούς τομείς που επηρεάζονται και διαμορφώνονται από τη συναλλαγματική ισοτιμία και τις νομισματικές πολιτικές, όπως το εμπόριο και οι επενδύσεις. Η εργασία κλείνει με μια συνολική κριτική καθώς και προβλέψεις για το μέλλον.
    • The starting point is a brief presentation and analysis of the types of exchange rate regimes. The centre of attention is then turned to the European Union, the transitional path towards its creation and the current state of play, in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. Focus is given on monetary and fiscal policy. Afterwards, the focal point becomes China and an overview of its monetary history. Subsequently, some of the major sectors influenced and affected by the exchange rate and monetary policies such as trade and investments are being analysed. The essay continues with an overall criticism accompanied by views on the future.
