    • ABSTRACT At the second half of the twentieth century, the scientific and technological progress, specifically regarding in the technologies of communications and information technology, created questions as the globalisation and the international collaborations leading simultaneously to an increase of competitiveness. In the new economies, therefore, with the centre of weight transferred progressively in the production, treatment and transmission of information, the mobility and the adaptability opposite in the changes and the continuous training, are rendered basic factors of success. Thus, the enterprises, in their effort to cope with the very rapidly developing competitive environment, for the safeguarding, the improvement and the intensification of their place, owe henceforth to recognize the importance of knowledge as means for their intensification, attributing central importance in the production, distribution and application of knowledge. More specifically in enterprises as banking, that are activated substantially in the space of offer of services, the suitable informed personnel constitutes comparative advantage. In this frame, the questions of upgrade, completion and modernisation of dexterities of employees, via programs of professional training, acquire separate gravity so much for the individuals what for the enterprises. The investigation of training needs of employees has a meaning role for the effectiveness of training programs and at extension for the achievement of their goals. My work marks the necessity of training of human resources, studies theoretically the educational frame in the Greek financier sector and in inquiring level is focused in the investigation of training needs of employees in a big banking group in Greece.
