    • Σκοπό της παρούσας εργασίας αποτελεί η διερεύνηση του τρόπου λειτουργίας της διαπολιτισμικής εκπαίδευσης στην προσχολική εκπαίδευση με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στην αποτύπωση των απόψεων των νηπιαγωγών της Α΄ Αθήνας αναφορικά με τη διαπολιτισμική διάσταση στην παιδαγωγική τους πρακτική σε μία χρονική περίοδο από το 2016 και μετά, κατά την οποία έχουν αυξηθεί σημαντικά οι μεταναστευτικές και προσφυγικές ροές στη χώρα μας. Ειδικότερα, οι απόψεις των ίδιων των εκπαιδευτικών αξιοποιούνται προκειμένου όχι μόνο να διερευνηθεί ο βαθμός ενσωμάτωσης της διαπολιτισμικής φιλοσοφίας στην παιδαγωγική πρακτική του νηπιαγωγείου, αλλά επίσης να εντοπιστούν: α) τα εμπόδια και οι δυσκολίες που αντιμετωπίζει το ελληνικό εκπαιδευτικό σύστημα προς την κατεύθυνση αυτή και β) οι επιμορφωτικές ανάγκες των εκπαιδευτικών σε σχέση με τη διαπολιτισμική εκπαίδευση προσφέροντας κάποιες προτάσεις για το μέλλον. Ακολουθείται ποσοτική μεθοδολογική προσέγγιση με τη χρήση ερωτηματολογίου διαμορφωμένου σε 3 κλίμακες: α) προβλήματα σε σχέση με την πολιτεία και το σχεδιασμό, β) προβλήματα συνεργασίας μεταξύ παιδαγωγών και γ) προβλήματα συνεργασίας με γονείς. Η έρευνα πραγματοποιείται σε σύνολο 145 εκπαιδευτικών προσχολικής αγωγής από νηπιαγωγών από 247 νηπιαγωγεία. Από τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας προκύπτει η ανάγκη για συγκεκριμένους επαγγελματίες όπως ψυχολόγοι ή διερμηνείς που θα προσφέρουν τις υπηρεσίες τους προς όλους τους εμπλεκόμενους στη σχολική ζωή, για προγράμματα εκπαίδευσης γονέων με διαφορετικό πολιτισμικό υπόβαθρο, για ενίσχυση των υλικοτεχνικών υποδομών και ανοικτότητα των νηπιαγωγείων προς την κοινωνία ώστε να εφαρμόζονται αποτελεσματικότερα οι διαπολιτισμικές ανταλλαγές και καινοτομίες.
    • The aim of the present study is the investigation of the application of intercultural education in preschool education through the exploration of the opinions of kindergarten teachers in a certain region of Athens. More specifically, the study wishes to explore the opinions of kindergarten teachers on the subject of intercultural dimension in their pedagogical practice in the period after 2016 when migration and refugee entrance in Greece has been significantly limited. Further aims of this study include the investigation of the degree that kindergarten teachers’ practices are adjusted to the philosophy of intercultural education and the notification of obstacles and difficulties of the Greek educational system towards this direction. Another aim is to explore the training needs of the kindergarten teachers in relation to the intercultural education and therefore, to provide further recommendations for the future. For this purpose, quantitative methodology is followed as a research procedure through the use of a questionnaire divided into three (3) scales: a) problems in relation to the state and the planning of intercultural projects, b) problems of cooperation among educators and c) problems of cooperation with parents. The research is based on a sample of 145 from 247 kindergartens. From the analysis of the results some interesting findings arise which include the need for particular professionals such as psychologists or interpreters who will offer their services to all involved in school life (teachers, parents and children). Also, the need for educational programs directed to support parents of different cultural background, the need for the enhancement of technological applications in kindergarten schools and finally, the need for openness of kindergarten schools towards local societies so as intercultural exchanges and relevant innovative programs to be applied more effectively.
