    • Abstract The scope of this research was to investigate whether the learners, who are participating in training courses on Fine Arts, held by Local Municipal Organizations, are willing to be educated on History of Art . The educational action research was selected as the investigation method to be used. The group of the painting course of Meteora, Polichni was chosen as the targeted group of the action research. In the theoretical part, at first, an effort was made to tackle questions on the art, in order it to be proven that the existing experiences and knowledge of the learners can be utilized during the educational process. Then, based on the hypothesis, that the participants were interested in History of Art , as long as this could help them to improve their understanding of the Art and the prerequisites of their creativity, the necessity of educating them on History of Art was proven. In chapter 3, we utilized a number of research conclusions and theories on the general characteristics of adult learners, because outlining the learners profile is the first step on designing the Educational Procedure. Afterwards, the learning theories groups were presented in a comprehensive way. The elements, which had been utilized by each and every one of them, in order to fulfill the prerequisites of adult learners teaching, were exposed. As long as, a major part of the design of the teaching, as well as, the analysis and the explanation of the research data were based on this chapter, it is considered to be of high importance. A part of the research was dedicated to outlining the learning process, so that the interested ones could judge the credibility and the reliability of it, by knowing the conditions under which this research took place. The research took place within the time limits of twelve training meetings. However, for the scope of the research, it was considered necessary to analyze and interpret the results of the first, second, sixth, seventh and twelfth meetings. The analysis of these meetings was focused on the participation of the learning group and used as criteria the duration of the participants speeches, the oral communication direction and the attitude of the learners. The analysis and interpretation of the above mentioned training meetings, showed, that the learners, who were participating in the Fine Art programs of the Local Municipal Cultural Organizations, had a positive attitude towards the lessons of the History of Art. This attitude was enhanced by activating their participation in every step of the learning process. It was also identified, that the effectiveness of their learning depended upon the utilization of techniques that activate their participation in the learning process and that their activation depends upon the coherence of the learning team, the defining the learning contract and the conscientious approval of its terms by both contracting parties. At last, it was identified that the teaching of History of Art could help the learners to express themselves constructively by means of painting, under the condition that they were taught how to utilize it. However, the most important conclusion of the research was the fact that, the effective learning shapes the persons in such a way, that they could initiate actions which would change the social and cultural scene at their country.
