The present dissertation presents, with analytical steps, the designing and development of an online theatre tickets reservation system and it involves seven units:
The first unit involves a contact with the subject, a brief analysis of the theme, the methodology and the tools that will be used as well as a short report of the dissertation aims.
The second unit, the underlying situation is described and the advanced characteristics of the Online Systems are reported and studied. There is a presentation of the basic meanings, fundamental rules and technologies concerning the website designs, which reach the Internet user through browsing. It is also mentioned the difference between the static and dynamic websites and a description of the free software XAMPP. Furthermore, the present systems of content management are briefly mentioned along with a detailed description of the Joomla system.
In the third unit, there is a report for the Joomla extensions which are used in the online booking systems as well as the additional extensions which are necessary for a complete application. Free and commercial extensions are also mentioned and an attempt to categorize them. Moreover, there are analytical descriptions of the technical characteristics of the web applications, focused on the analytical description of the provisions of the applications, the presentation of new ways designing websites and the analysis of their support from the Joomla extensions.
The fourth unit presents the analysis of the problem and the requirements of the system. There is a selection of the suitable prototypes and Joomla extensions for the online system and we set the parameters and modifications for the coverage of the requirements. Finally, the requirements and the designing of the system are presented.
The fifth unit involves the actualization of the system. The installation of the chosen software, WAMP, Joomla, suitable templates and extensions analyzed in the previous chapters, is implemented. There is an attempt of the development of the system and the careful incorporation of the parameters, the modifications and additions in the suitable points of the application code in order to achieve the desirable formation.
The sixth unit presents the assessment of the developing application through the screens and the way of using them with five complete scenarios.
The seventh unit concludes the results of the dissertation and suggests extensions to the developing system.
Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία παρουσιάζει με αναλυτικά βήματα τον σχεδιασμό και την ανάπτυξη ενός συστήματος με το οποίο γίνονται online κρατήσεις θέσεων για θέατρα και αποτελείται από 7 ενότητες:
Στην πρώτη ενότητα γίνεται γνωριμία με το αντικείμενο, σύντομη ανάλυση του θέματος, της μεθοδολογίας και των εργαλείων που θα χρησιμοποιήσουμε και σύντομη αναφορά στους στόχους της εργασίας.
Στην δεύτερη ενότητα περιγράφεται η υφιστάμενη κατάσταση και γίνεται καταγραφή και μελέτη των προηγμένων χαρακτηριστικών των Online Συστημάτων. Παρουσιάζονται οι βασικές έννοιες, αρχές και τεχνολογίες σχεδιασμού ιστοσελίδων, οι οποίες φτάνουν στον τελικό χρήστη μέσω του Παγκόσμιου Ιστού με τη χρήση φυλλομετρητών. Γίνεται αναφορά στις διαφορές μεταξύ των στατικών και δυναμικών ιστοσελίδων, καθώς και περιγραφή του ελεύθερου λογισμικού XAMPP. Επίσης γίνεται μια σύντομη αναφορά στα υπάρχοντα συστήματα διαχείρισης περιεχομένου και αναλυτική περιγραφή του συστήματος Joomla.
Στην τρίτη ενότητα καταγράφονται οι Joomla επεκτάσεις που χρησιμοποιούνται σε online συστήματα κρατήσεων, καθώς και οι επεκτάσεις που θεωρούνται συμπληρωματικές αλλά απαραίτητες για μια ολοκληρωμένη εφαρμογή. Γίνεται αναφορά σε ελεύθερες και εμπορικές επεκτάσεις, καθώς και μια προσπάθεια κατηγοριοποίησης αυτών. Γίνεται αναλυτική περιγραφή των τεχνικών χαρακτηριστικών των web εφαρμογών. Καταγράφονται ιδιαίτερα αναλυτικά οι παροχές των εφαρμογών, παρουσιάζονται οι νέοι τρόποι σχεδίασης ιστοσελίδων και αναλύεται η υποστήριξη τους από τις επεκτάσεις του Joomla.
Στην τέταρτη ενότητα παρουσιάζεται η ανάλυση του προβλήματος και των απαιτήσεων του συστήματος. Επιλέγονται τα κατάλληλα πρότυπα και επεκτάσεις Joomla για το online σύστημα και γίνεται αναφορά σε παραμετροποιήσεις και τροποποιήσεις για την κάλυψη των προδιαγραφών. Τέλος παρουσιάζονται οι προδιαγραφές και ο σχεδιασμός του συστήματος.
Στην πέμπτη ενότητα γίνεται η υλοποίηση του συστήματος. Υλοποιείται η εγκατάσταση του επιλεγμένου λογισμικού, δηλαδή του WAMP, του Joomla και των κατάλληλων προτύπων και επεκτάσεων που αναλύθηκαν στα προηγούμενα κεφάλαια. Επιχειρείται η ανάπτυξη του συστήματος και η προσεκτική ενσωμάτωση των παραμετροποιήσεων, τροποποιήσεων και προσθηκών στα κατάλληλα σημεία του κώδικα της εφαρμογής, έτσι ώστε να είναι όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερο στη επιθυμητή μορφοποίηση.
Στην έκτη ενότητα παρουσιάζεται η αξιολόγηση της χρήσης της εφαρμογής που αναπτύχθηκε με τις οθόνες και τον τρόπο της χρήσης αυτών με πέντε ολοκληρωμένα σενάρια χρησιμοποίησης του συστήματος.
Στην έβδομη ενότητα εξάγονται τα συμπεράσματα της εκπόνησης της πτυχιακής και προτείνονται επεκτάσεις του συστήματος που έχει αναπτυχθεί.
