Η θεωρία της λιτής παραγωγής έχει εξελιχθεί μέσα στον χρόνο από μία σειρά εργαλείων και τεχνικών σε μια νέα φιλοσοφία διαχείρισης και διοίκησης. Η λιτή παραγωγή μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί για την εξάλειψη κάθε είδους σπατάλης (αλόγιστη και άσκοπη δαπάνη, περιττά έξοδα, υπερπαραγωγή, χαμηλή ποιότητα κλπ.) και την αύξηση της απόδοσης. Μεγάλος αριθμός επιχειρήσεων σε όλο τον κόσμο έχει εφαρμόσει της αρχές της λιτής παραγωγής με επιτυχία. Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία εστιάζει στην υλοποίηση των αρχών της λιτής παραγωγής από τις Ελληνικές εταιρίες στον χώρο της μεταποίησης. Για την σύγκριση των αποτελεσμάτων, οι εταιρίες μεταποίησης στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο χρησιμοποιήθηκαν.
Ο σκοπός λοιπόν της εργασίας είναι να προσδιορισθεί ο βαθμός κατανόησης και υιοθέτησης των αρχών αλλά και των τεχνικών της λιτής παραγωγής από τις Ελληνικές εταιρίες. Επιπρόσθετα, η διπλωματική εργασία επιχειρεί να προσδιορίσει τον βαθμό σημασίας των παραγόντων που μπορούν να βοηθήσουν στην υλοποίηση αλλά και των όποιων παραγόντων αντικρούουν την εφαρμογή της λιτής παραγωγής. Για τους παραπάνω λόγους, ένα δομημένο ερωτηματολόγιο αναπτύχθηκε και απαντήθηκε από μεγάλο αριθμό Ελληνικών και Βρετανικών εταιριών από τον χώρο της μεταποίησης.
Τέλος, βάση της βιβλιογραφικής ανασκόπησης και των ευρημάτων από την ανάλυση των ερωτηματολογίων, μοντέλο υλοποίησης προτείνεται για την εφαρμογή της λιτής παραγωγής βάση των αρχών της διαδικασίας οργανωσιακής αλλαγής. Το προτεινόμενο μοντέλο συζητήθηκε και επιβεβαιώθηκε μέσω τριών συνεντεύξεων σε δύο Βρετανικές και μία Ελληνική επιχείρηση μεταποίησης.
Lean manufacturing has evolved from a set of tools and techniques to become a management philosophy. It can be used to reduce waste and improve the efficiency of companies. Many companies worldwide has implemented lean management and achieved great improvements. The present dissertation focuses on the lean manufacturing implementation within the Greek manufacturing sector. For benchmarking purposes the implementation of lean into UK manufacturing sector is also assessed.
The purpose of this dissertation is to determine the extent to which the main principles of lean manufacturing are understood and adopted in Greek manufacturing sector companies. Also this dissertation aims to assess the importance of the driving factors and barriers towards implementing lean manufacturing in the Greek environment. A structured questionnaire was developed and circulated to a large number of Greek and UK manufacturing companies.
Finally, based on the literature review and questionnaire findings, a framework for implementing lean manufacturing based on change management theory is proposed and was validated by experts in 2 UK and 1 Greek manufacturing companies.
