Το θέμα της παρούσας διπλωματικής ασχολείται με την εξέλιξη της ηγεσίας στον στρατό. Μια επισκόπηση στα 2500 χρόνια στρατιωτικής ιστορίας αποτελεί μια αξιοσημείωτη πηγή πραγματικών ηγετών που οι αποφάσεις τους οδήγησαν τους στρατούς τους στη δόξα.
Θα ασχοληθούμε με τα έργα και τις ημέρες των ιστορικών στρατιωτικών μορφών όπως ο Μέγας Αλέξανδρος, ο Ναπολέων Βοναπάρτης, ο Κάρλ φον Κλαουζέβιτς κλπ. Θα επισημάνουμε τα βασικά ιδιαίτερα χαρακτηριστικά αυτών των ανδρών, τη διαχείρισή τους και τον ηγετικό τρόπο που είχαν καταγράψει πολλοί ιστορικοί.
Θα αναφερθούμε επίσης στα πλεονεκτήματα και τα μειονεκτήματά των ηγετών αυτών και στην προσήλωση στην κρίση και στη λήψη αποφάσεων. Θα ήταν πραγματικά ενδιαφέρον να διερευνήσουμε πώς ο τρόπος σκέψης (λήψης αποφάσεων) αυτών των ανθρώπων κάτω από την υψηλή πίεση της μάχης, την εμπειρία τους, την προσωπικότητά τους και τέλος την εκπαίδευσή τους συνέβαλε στη διαμόρφωση ενός πραγματικού ηγέτη ή ενός διαχειριστή αντιγραφής.
Πρέπει επίσης να μάθουμε εάν και πώς οι σύγχρονες επιστημονικές θεωρίες περί ηγεσίας και της διοίκησης οι οποίες αναφέρονται αναλυτικά στην υπόψη μελέτη, έχουν πεδίο εφαρμογής κατά τη διάρκεια της ένδοξης στρατιωτικής ιστορίας. Είναι πολύ σημαντικό, χάριν της έρευνας, να ανακαλύψουμε μέσω μιας επιστημονικής προσέγγισης τον τρόπο και τις μεθόδους καθοδήγησης και διαχείρισης που υιοθετήθηκαν από διάφορες ιστορικές στρατιωτικές προσωπικότητες και να τις συγκρίνουμε με τις υπάρχουσες σύγχρονες επιστημονικές θεωρίες.
Τέλος, θα προσπαθήσουμε με τη συμβολή των πληροφοριών της έρευνάς μας για να ανακαλύψουμε την πιθανότητα ύπαρξης μιας μεθόδου κατάρτισης για να μεταμορφώσουμε έναν καλά εκπαιδευμένο διευθυντή σε έναν σπουδαίο ηγέτη.
The subject has to deal with the evolution of leadership in army. An overview in 2500 years of military history constitutes a remarkable source of true leaders which their decisions led their armies to glory. We will deal with the works and days of historical military figures such as Alexander the Great, Napoleon Bonaparte, Carl von Clausewitz etc.
We are going to highlight the main special characteristics of these men, their managing and leading way as several historians had written them down. We will also mention the advantages and disadvantages of them and the affection to their judgment and decision making. It would be really interesting to investigate how the way of thinking (decision making) of these people under the high pressure of battle, their experience, their personality and finally their training contributed to the formulation of a true leader or a ripping manager. We have also to find out if and how the modern scientific theories of leadership and management have scope during the glorious military history.
It is really important for the sake of research to discover through a scientific approach the way and methods of leading and managing that adopted by several historical military personalities and compare them to the existing modern scientific methods. Finally, we will try with the contribution of the information of our research to discover the probability of the existence of a training method in order to transform a well-trained manager to a great leader.
