Η παρούσα μελέτη αποσκοπεί στον εντοπισμό των προτύπων και των ιδιαίτερων χαρακτηριστικών ενός αισθητικά και λειτουργικά άρτιου hostel, καθώς και στην εξέταση διαφόρων τρόπων αποδοτικής ενσωμάτωσης της σχετικής επιχειρηματικής δραστηριότητας στην ελληνική τουριστική αγορά. Η εργασία αυτή επιδιώκει την ανάλυση της αντίληψης των ανθρώπων για τα προαναφερθέντα τουριστικά καταλύματα, ενώ διερευνά τον τρόπο και τις δυνατότητες που υπάρχουν, ώστε να αναπτυχθεί μία τέτοιου είδους επιχείρηση. Τέλος, επισημαίνονται οι νομοθετικές και οικονομικές αρχές που απαιτούνται για την περαιτέρω ενίσχυση των hostels, καθώς τα οφέλη των τελευταίων για την τουριστική βιομηχανία και κατ’επέκταση την αγοράς εγασίας στην Ελλάδα.
Τhis study aims to identify the standards and particular characteristics of a well-established hostel as well as to examine various ways of efficiently incorporating this type of business to the Greek tourism market. Τhis work analyzes the people's perception of the aforementioned accommodation, based on multiple parametres, such as age, sex, social status etc. Given the current Greek legislation, this study also explores ways and possibilities to develop an efficient hostel business, while highlighting the legal and economic principles which are necessary for further strengthening the hostel industry and hence, the tourism industry and the labor market in Greece.
