    • H παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία πραγματεύεται τη διοίκηση έργου και πιο εκτενώς τον τομέα της διαχείρισης του κινδύνου μέσα από μια κυρίως βιβλιογραφική οπτική. Χρησιμοποιήθηκε ελληνική και ξένη βιβλιογραφία και κυρίως το πρότυπο του Project Management Institute (PMI) για τη διαχείριση έργων. Η εν λόγω διπλωματική, λοιπόν, ξεκινάει με μια εισαγωγή στις βασικές έννοιες στη διοίκηση έργου δίνοντας στην αρχή τον ορισμό του έργου καθώς και της διοίκησης έργου. Επιπλέον, αναφέρονται ιστορικά στοιχεία καθώς και ο κύκλος ζωής του έργου. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο αναφέρονται συντόμως οι γνωστικές περιοχές της διοίκησης έργου σύμφωνα κυρίως με το Project Management Institute (PMI) όπως αναφέρθηκε και πιο πάνω. Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο, περιγράφονται ξεχωριστά από τις άλλες γνωστικές περιοχές της διοίκησης έργου η διαχείριση του κινδύνου. Η διαχείριση του κινδύνου είναι ένας τομέας πολύ δημοφιλής σήμερα σε πολλές επιχειρήσεις. Ολοένα και περισσότερες επιχειρήσεις εξετάζουν τα ενδεχόμενα κινδύνου και προσπαθούν να βρουν τρόπους ώστε να προβλέψουν εγκαίρως τον κίνδυνο με σκοπό να αποφύγουν τυχόν αποκλίσεις από τον αρχικό τους στόχο και κατά συνέπεια αρνητικές επιπτώσεις και μείωση των κερδών τους. Τέλος στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο, παρουσιάζεται μια μελέτη περίπτωσης πάνω στη διοίκηση του κινδύνου που αφορά τον κατασκευαστικό τομέα και η διπλωματική κλείνει με τα συμπεράσματα που προκύπτουν σχετικά τη σπουδαιότητα και την αναγκαιότητα της διαχείρισης του κινδύνου για μια εταιρία.
    • This dissertation is dealing with the theory of project administration and more extensively with risk management under a more bibliographical view. Greek and foreign bibliography was used, especially the model of the Project Management Institute (PMI) concerning project management. This dissertation begins with an introduction to basic concepts in project management initially giving the definition of the word project and project management as well. Moreover, historical information is also mentioned as well as the project life cycle. In the second chapter the cognitive areas of project administration are briefly mentioned in accordance mainly to the Project Management Institute (PMI) as was cited and above. In the third chapter the field of risk management is described separately from the other cognitive areas of project administration. Today, risk management is a very popular department in many companies. Companies are considering more and more the possibilities of risk and trying to develop ways in order to predict the risk in time in order to avoid any deviation from their original objectives that can result in adverse effects and reduction of their profits. Finally in the fourth chapter, a case study is presented on the management of risk, related to the field of construction and this dissertation closes with the conclusions arising on the importance and necessity of risk management for a company.
