Η διαχείριση έργου έχει γνωρίσει σημαντική ανάπτυξη τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες. Από τη βιομηχανική επανάσταση, όταν και τέθηκαν οι βάσεις της σύγχρονης διοίκησης και διαχείρισης έργου, έως σήμερα, δημιουργήθηκαν και αναπτύχθηκαν αρκετά πρότυπα διαχείρισης έργου τα οποία χρησιμοποιούνται από τους διαχειριστές έργων προκειμένου να ολοκληρώσουν επιτυχώς τα έργα τους.
Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία πραγματεύεται τη διαχείριση έργων βασιζόμενη στο επικρατέστερο διεθνώς πρότυπο, το οποίο είναι το Project Management Body of Knowledge από το Project Management Institute (PMI), και στην τεχνική διαχείρισης έργων PERT/CPM.
Αρχικά γίνεται ανασκόπηση της σχετικής βιβλιογραφίας και στη συνέχεια παρουσιάζονται οι βασικές έννοιες της διαχείρισης έργου και γίνεται αναφορά στην ιστορική εξέλιξη του γνωστικού αυτού πεδίου. Ακολούθως, περιγράφονται οι διαδικασίες της διαχείρισης έργου, οι γνωστικές περιοχές της διαχείρισης έργου και τα εργαλεία και οι τεχνικές που χρησιμοποιούνται σε αυτές. Στη συνέχεια αναλύεται η εφαρμογή της τεχνικής PERT/CPM στη διαχείριση έργου και περιγράφεται η διαχείριση έργου με τη χρήση του λογισμικού Microsoft Project και Microsoft Excel, εφαρμοζόμενη σε περιπτώσεις έργων που αντλήθηκαν από τη βιβλιογραφία. Τέλος, στο τελευταίο μέρος της εργασίας παρουσιάζεται η εφαρμογή της τεχνικής PERT/CPM με τη χρήση του εν λόγω λογισμικού σε έργο υπηρεσίας υγείας, όπου διαπιστώνεται η δυνατότητα βελτιστοποίησης του έργου με διάφορες προσεγγίσεις προς όφελος τόσο του αναδόχου του έργου όσο και της υπηρεσίας, αλλά και της κοινωνίας γενικότερα.
Project management has experienced significant development in recent decades. Since the industrial revolution, when the foundations of modern project management were laid, several project management standards have been created and developed that are used by the project managers in order to successfully complete their projects.
This diploma thesis deals with project management based on the prevailing international standard which is the Project Management Body of Knowledge of the Project Management Institute (PMI), and on the PERT/CPM project management technique.
At the beginning, a literature review is presented, followed by the basic concepts of project management and the historical development of this field of knowledge. Then the project management processes, the knowledge areas of project management and the tools and techniques used in them are described. Subsequently, the application of PERT/CPM technique in project management is analyzed and the project management with the use of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel software on cases derived from the relevant literature is presented. Finally, in the latter part of the work, the application of the PERT/CPM technique with the use of the aforementioned software in a health service project is presented, in which the possibility of project through different approaches is found, in benefit of the contractor, the service organization and the society in general.
