Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία περιλαμβάνει μια παρουσίαση του θεωρητικού και νομικού πλαισίου της έννοιας της χρεωκοπίας και των κύριων παραγόντων που μπορούν να οδηγήσουν μια επιχείρηση στην παύση των δραστηριοτήτων της. Μερικά από τα πιο βασικά μοντέλα πρόβλεψης εξετάζονται , ενώ στη συνέχεια εφαρμόζοντας τρία μοντέλα πρόβλεψης της εταιρικής αποτυχίας για την περίοδο 2008-2012 , διαπιστώνεται ποιο παρουσιάζει την βέλτιστη προβλεπτική ικανότητα για το δείγμα των εταιρειών. Η σημαντικότητα της εργασίας έγκειται στην κατανόηση των διαφορετικών εννοιών της επιχειρηματικής αποτυχίας καθώς και στη χρήση των κατάλληλων εργαλείων, τα οποία θα μπορούσαν να υποστηρίξουν την προσπάθεια κάθε επιχείρησης προκειμένου να προβλέψει, ακόμη και να αποφύγει την αποτυχία.
The content of the present dissertation includes a presentation of the theoretical and legal framework of the concept of insolvency and the main factors that may drive a company to failure. Some of the most basic failure prediction models are examined , and then implementing three business failure prediction models for the period 2008-2012, a conclusion is reached on which model presents better predictive accuracy for the sample companies. The importance of the essay lies in the understanding of the concepts of business failure and in the use of the correct tools that could support each company's effort to predict and even avoid failure.
