    • Αντικείμενο της παρούσας μεταπτυχιακής διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η παρουσίαση βασικών στοιχείων σχεδιασμού και ενόργανης παρακολούθησης των σηράγγων. Γίνονται αναφορές στην ιστορική εξέλιξη των σηράγγων στις μεθόδους κατασκευής τους αλλά και στους τρόπους επιλογής των γεωτεχνικών παραμέτρων και της προσομοίωσης του συστήματος περιβάλλουσας βραχόμαζας –διατομής που αποτελούν τον κύριο παράγοντα για την εφαρμογή της κατάλληλης αντιστήριξης αλλά και της τελικής επένδυσης. Σκοπός είναι να παρουσιαστεί με απλό τρόπο η διαδικασία της μελέτης μιας σήραγγας έτσι ώστε να γίνει η κατάλληλη διαστασιολόγηση που αποτελεί το σημαντικότερο βήμα μια πετυχημένης κατασκευαστικής διαδικασίας.
    • The subject of this postgraduate diploma thesis is the presentation of basic elements of design and instrumental monitoring of tunnels. Ιs made reference to the historical development of tunnels in their methods of construction, but also to the ways of selecting the geotechnical parameters and simulation of the surrounding rock mass-section system, which are the main factor for the application of the appropriate primary support and the final lining. The purpose is to simply present the process of a tunnel project in order to make the proper dimensioning that is the most important step in a successful manufacturing process.
