Το κτίριο που θα μελετηθεί είναι ένα υφιστάμενο διώροφο κτίριο με πατάρι με χρήση
κατοικίας που βρίσκεται στην Εύβοια, στην πόλη της Χαλκίδας. Το κτίριο έχει
κατασκευαστεί το έτος 1983. Η στατική μελέτη έχει γίνει με τον Κανονισμό οπλισμένου
σκυροδέματος ΦΕΚ 160 / Α / 1954 και τον αντισεισμικό κανονισμό ΦΕΚ 36 / Α /1959 με
ποιότητα σκυροδέματος B225 και χάλυβα St-III (κατά DIN488).
Η αποτίμηση της φέρουσας ικανότητας του υφιστάμενου κτιρίου θα προκύψει με την
εφαρμογή ανελαστικών στατικών μεθόδων (Pushover). Ομοίως, η πρόταση ενίσχυσης, που
θα είναι προσθήκη περιμετρικών τοιχωμάτων προκείμενου να βελτιωθεί η σεισμική
