    • Το θέμα της διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι ο προσαρμοστικός φωτισμός εξωτερικών χώρων για τη προστασία του νυχτερινού τοπίου και την εξοικονόμηση ενέργειας. Η προσέγγιση του συγκεκριμένου θέματος έγινε ξεκινώντας με αναφορά στον εξωτερικό φωτισμό. Περιγράφονται οι περιβαλλοντικές ζώνες καθώς και οι χώροι που είναι απαραίτητος ο νυχτερινός φωτισμός. Επίσης ποιες φωτεινές πηγές και ποια φωτιστικά σώματα ενδείκνυνται για τον φωτισμό των εξωτερικών χώρων, ποια τα πλεονεκτήματα και τα μειονεκτήματα αυτών. Στην συνέχεια αναφέρονται οι βασικές αρχές οδοφωτισμού των οδών, τα οπτικά συστήματα, τα φωτιστικά σώματα και ποιοι οι σωστοί τρόποι τοποθέτησης. Επισημαίνονται οι κανονισμοί και τα πρότυπα που αφορούν τον οδοφωτισμό όπως τα Ευρωπαϊκά πρότυπα EN 13201/2004 , EN13201/2014, ΕΝ12464-2: 2007 και η Τεχνική Έκθεση CIE 115-2010. Έγινε αναφορά των περιβαλλοντικών προβλημάτων όπως η κατανάλωση ενέργειας και η φωτορύπανση. Δίνεται ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στην αιτία των προβλημάτων, στις επιπτώσεις αυτών καθώς και στους τρόπους αντιμετώπισής τους. Κλείνοντας το θεωρητικό μέρος αναλύεται μια νέα εφαρμογή, με προσαρμοστικό φωτισμό. Αναφέρθηκε η χρησιμότητά του , οι λόγοι και οι μέθοδοι που τον καθιστούν απαραίτητο στον εξωτερικό φωτισμό. Τέλος από όλα τα προαναφερόμενα προκύπτει ένα ολοκληρωμένο κείμενο προτάσεων για την εφαρμογή του προσαρμοστικού φωτισμού σε δύο οδούς της πόλης των Ιωαννίνων, το οποίο περιέχει τεχνοοικονομική μελέτη παλαιών και νέων εγκαταστάσεων .
    • The topic of the research study is the adaptive lighting of outdoor spaces for the protection of the nightscape and the savings of energy. The approach to the specific topic was made firstly by making a reference to the outdoor lighting. The environmental zones as well as the areas that the nightly lighting is necessary were also described in the report. Moreover, the illuminated sources and the lighting devices that are recommended for the lighting of the outdoor areas are mentioned, as well as their advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, there is a focus on the street lighting by mentioning the basic principles of the streets, the vision systems, the lighting devices and which are the appropriate ways of their installation. The regulations and the standards that are related to the street lighting such as the European standards EN 13201/2004, EN 13201/2014, EN 12464-2:2007 and the Technical Report CIE 115-2010 are included. A report has been made concerning the environmental problems, such as the consumption of energy and the light pollution. A great emphasis is given on the causes of these problems, their consequences and on the ways to deal with them. The last topic of the theoretical part was about a new application, the adaptive lighting. We mentioned its usages, the reasons and the methods that define it vital for the outdoor lighting. To conclude, based on the above mentioned arguments, a complete study was conducted about the application of the adjustable lighting on two highways in the city of Ioannina, which includes the technical and financial study of old and new applications.
