The aim of this dissertation is the identification ofthe effectiveness of OPAP’s corporate strategy, in the context of the organization’s efforts to maintain its competitiveness in the gambling industry. In order for this purpose to be covered, we conducted primary quantitative research, based on a structured questionnaire of closed-ended questions. The research sample consists of 45 OPAP’s collaborators. The participants were gathered through convenience sampling. The research data were collected online, through e-mails, by using the Google Forms platform, and through telephone communication. The statistical analysis was done by using SPSS. The research results showed that OPAP had a better position in the competition, before 2011, and that the greater the threat the participants felt from the competition, the better they considered OPAP's position in the betting industry before 2011. However, the OPAP has improved in the characteristics of Responsiveness, Competence, Access, Courtesy, Communication, Security, and Understanding of the customer, after 2011 and all of its competitive characteristics are in better condition compared to that of competing companies, after 2011. This means that the competitive strategy adopted by OPAP after the year 2011 has brought positive results to the organization in question.
