    • This Graduate Dissertation focuses on the Financial Statement Analysis of ELVALHALCOR SA and its subsidiaries to assess the financial position of the company, its prospects and potential risks. The purpose of this Dissertation is to discuss the financial situation of ELVALHALCOR SA using Ratio Analysis. The primary material used for this analysis consists of the published Financial Statements of the company for the 2010 – 2020 period. Moreover, a ratio analysis of the companies ELVAL SA and HALCOR SA will be carried out, for the period 2010-2016, after that period was founded ELVALHALCOR SA As far as, ELVALHALCORS’ subsidiaries are concerned, again published Financial Statements will be used but for a limited period (2017 - 2020), since 2017 is the year that the Company was formed via the merger of Elval, a leading European aluminium rolling company, and Halcor, the largest copper tubes producer in Europe. Ratios regarding liquidity (e.g., current ratio, cash ratio), profitability (e.g. ROE, ROA) activity (e.g. total assets turnover, Inventory Turnover Ratio), leverage (e.g. Debt-to-Equity Ratio, Debt-to-Capital Ratio) and investment (e.g. Earnings per share, Price-To-Book Ratio) will be calculated and interpreted in order to reach conclusions about the financial situation of ELVALHALCOR SA, its prospects and potential risks but, also, about how the economic crisis affected the company. Moreover, Altman z-score model will be estimated so as to provide insight about the possibility that ELVALHALCOR and its subsidiaries face the hazard of financial distress.
