Η παρούσα εργασία εκπονείται στα πλαίσια της αποτίμησης της πολιτιστικής διαχείρισης σε σχέση με μνημεία που βρίσκονται ενταγμένα στον πολεοδομικό ιστό του σύγχρονου Πειραιά αλλά δεν τα γνωρίζει το πλατύ κοινό. Η επιλογή του όρου «αφανή μνημεία» αποτυπώνει αυτό ακριβώς το σκεπτικό από το οποίο εκπορεύονται πολλοί προβληματισμοί. Ο τίτλος της εργασίας διευκρινίζει τη θεώρηση της πολιτιστικής διαχείρισης που στοχεύει στην ανάδειξη των μνημείων του αρχαίου παρελθόντος στη διαχρονία τους και στη συγχρονία. Στόχος της εργασίας είναι να καταδείξει ότι τα μνημεία – πέρα από τη μελέτη των ιστορικών συμφραζόμενών τους – πρέπει να εντάσσονται σε διαδικασίες μέσα από τις οποίες συντελούνται διαμορφωτικές αλλαγές ως προς το να γίνουν περισσότερο γνωστά και να επέλθει μεγάλη διεύρυνση του κοινού. Οι άξονες παρουσίασης του παραπάνω σκεπτικού είναι δύο: πώς η γνώση για τις ιστορικές μνήμες που κυριαρχούν πάνω σε ένα μνημείο θα μετατρέψουν αυτό και τον περιβάλλοντα χώρο του σε τόπο ανακάλυψης και μάθησης για ένα πλατύ διαφοροποιημένο κοινό και για το μαθητικό κοινό. Συγκεκριμένα, εξετάσθηκαν η Ηετιώνεια Πύλη, οι Αστικές Πύλες και η έκθεση του κτιρίου «Ξυλαποθήκη» της Εφορείας Αρχαιοτήτων Πειραιώς που προοριζόταν για το Μουσείο Οχυρωματικής Τέχνης καθώς βρίσκεται στον αρχαιολογικό χώρο των Αστικών Πυλών. Συνοπτικά, η εργασία αυτή αναπτύσσει το θέμα του έντονου και διάχυτου στοιχείου ιστορικότητας και συμβολισμού των μνημείων, εξετάζει το πεδίο της προστασίας τους και διερευνά την επικοινωνιακή τους προβολή. Η βασική ιδέα που λειτουργεί συνεκτικά για τη θεωρητική ανάλυση και τη μελέτη πεδίου είναι ότι το κοινό βλέπει αλλά δεν βιώνει και δεν φτάνει να κατέχει μόνο την εικόνα του μνημείου αλλά να το γνωρίσει μέσα σε μια σχέση αλληλεπίδρασης και να είναι μέσα στις επιλογές του αναφορικά με τη χρήση του ελεύθερου χρόνου.
    • The present work aims to evaluate the cultural management of historical invisible monuments that are included in the urban fabric of modern Piraeus but are not known to the general public. The choice of the term "invisible monuments" reflects many questions that this work tackles. This paper titled “Contemporary readings of monuments of ancient Piraeus through the demonstration of their timelessness and their communication with the public. The Ietionian Gate, the Asty (City) Gates and the exhibition of the Museum of Art and Technology of Ancient Fortifications” concentrates on cultural management that aims at highlighting the monuments of the ancient past in their timelessness and synchronicity. Therefore, the aim of this work is to demonstrate that monuments - in addition to the study of their historical contexts - must be part of processes through which formative changes take place in order to become better known and reach wider audience. Specifically, the paper examines the Ietionian Gate, the Asty (City) Gates and the exhibition of the "Ksylapothiki" building of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Piraeus, which was intended for the Museum of Art and Technology of Ancient Fortifications, as it is located in the archaeological site of the Asty (City) Gates. In summary, this work develops around the theme of the historicity and symbolism of the monuments, examines the field of their protection and investigates their communicative projection. The basic idea that combines theoretical analysis with the field study is to encourage the audience not only to see, but also to experience, not only to possess the image but also to develop and interactive relation with the monuments, as a personal choice in their free time.
