    • Παρά τη γενική πολιτική συναίνεση υπέρ των δημόσιων ραδιοτηλεοπτικών υπηρεσιών (PBS), οι πρόσφατες τεχνολογικές, οικονομικές και πολιτικές αλλαγές έχουν οδηγήσει σε αμφισβήτηση της αξίας και της συμβολής τους στη σύγχρονη ευρωπαϊκή κοινωνία. Στόχος της παρούσας εργασίας είναι να υποδείξει πώς ένας δημόσιος ραδιοτηλεοπτικός πάροχος, όπως η ERT στην Ελλάδα, μπορεί να βελτιώσει τις επιδόσεις του. Η διπλωματική εργασία εξέτασε το τρέχον περιβάλλον και τις βέλτιστες πρακτικές από το διεθνές ευρωπαϊκό περιβάλλον. Το αποτέλεσμα είναι ότι η ΕΡΤ πρέπει να υιοθετήσει ορισμένες βέλτιστες πρακτικές από το εξωτερικό, ώστε να διασφαλιστεί η βιωσιμότητά της.
    • Despite a general political consensus in favor of Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), recent technological, economic and political changes have led to a questioning of their value and contribution to the modern European society; hence the aim of this project is to indicate how a PBS, like ERT in Greece, can improve its performance. The thesis has examined the current environment and also the best practices from foreign PBS. The outcome is that ERT needs to consider the implementation of some of the best practices from abroad so to ensure the sustainability of ERT.
