    • Ο σκοπός της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η συζήτηση των κύριων μακροοικονομικών δεικτών της Ελλάδας πριν και μετά την υιοθέτηση του Ευρώ. Οι οικονομικοί δείκτες που παρουσιάζονται περιλαμβάνουν το ΑΕΠ, το κατά κεφαλήν ΑΕΠ, τον καθαρό δανεισμό, το λόγο χρέος/ΑΕΠ, τον πληθωρισμό και το κόστος δανεισμού. Από την άλλη πλευρά οι κοινωνικοί δείκτες περιλαμβάνουν το πληθυσμό, την εργασία, τη φτώχεια, τη μετανάστευση, τη κοινωνική προστασία και τον κατώτατο μισθό. Για το σκοπό αυτό, η γραφική σύγκριση χρησιμοποιείται ως η βασική μεθοδολογία˙ κυρίως από μία ποιοτική οπτική. Τα πιο αξιοσημείωτα συμπεράσματα είναι η σύνδεση μεταξύ των κυρίων οικονομικών και κοινωνικών δεικτών, η σταθερή πρόοδος της Ελληνικής οικονομίας μέχρι περίπου το 2009 παρά την υιοθέτηση του Ευρώ το 2001, η αναταραχή της οικονομίας περί το 2009 καθώς και τα σημάδια ανάκαμψης της περί το 2018.
    • The scope of this dissertation is to critically discuss the major macroeconomic indicators in Greece before and after the adoption of the common currency. The economic indicators which are presented include the GDP, the PCGDP, the net lending/borrowing, the debt/GDP ratio, the inflation and the borrowing cost. On the other hand, the social indicators include the population, the employment, the poverty, the emigration, the social protection and the minimum wage. For this purpose, the graphical comparison is used as the main methodology˙ majorily from a qualitative point of view. The most remarkable conlusions are the connection between the major economic and social indicators, the stable grow of the Greek economy until around 2009 despite the adoption of the euro in 2001, the turmoil of the economy in around 2009 as well as its recovery signs in around 2018.
