Το θέμα της διπλωματικής εργασίας αφορά στον αυτοκινητόδρομο Μορέα και συγκεκριμένα στη Διαχείριση των Περιουσιακών Στοιχείων του Σ.Δ.Α. (Συστήματος Διαχείρισης Αυτοκινητοδρόμου). Το Σ.Δ.Α χρειάζεται λεπτομερή απογραφή, συνεχή παρακολούθηση, έγκαιρη και σχεδιασμένη συντήρηση, βαθιά γνώση του αντικειμένου και των πιθανών τεχνολογικών αλλαγών. Ο στόχος είναι να οριοθετηθούν οι κατευθυντήριες γραμμές πάνω στις οποίες θα στηριχθεί ο αυτοκινητόδρομος για την διαχείριση των περιουσιακών στοιχείων. Η εκτίμηση της κατάστασης των περιουσιακών στοιχείων καθώς επίσης και η πρόβλεψη των ταμειακών αναγκών για την μερική ή ολική αντικατάστασή τους καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια της παραχώρησης του έργου από το δημόσιο πρέπει να είναι το αποτέλεσμα.
