    • Το βασικό αντικείμενο της έρευνας αυτής είναι η χρηματοοικονομική ανάλυση ενός από τους πιο σημαντικούς κλάδους της Ελληνικής Οικονομίας, αυτού των Τηλεπικοινωνιών, μέσω της ανάλυσης των μεγαλυτέρων εταιρειών του κλάδου, τον ΟΤΕ AE, την Forthnet AE, την Vodafone & τη WIND. Ο τομέας των τηλεπικοινωνιών διαδραματίζει αναμφίβολα έναν από τους σημαντικότερους ρόλους όσον αφορά την κοινωνικοοικονομική ανάπτυξη, τόσο σε παγκόσμιο όσο και σε εθνικό επίπεδο. Τα δίκτυα σταθερής και κινητής τηλεφωνίας δεν περιορίζονται πλέον στη μεταφορά φωνητικών δεδομένων, αλλά καλύπτουν ένα ευρύτερο φάσμα δεδομένων / πληροφοριών. Ένας παράλληλος στόχος αυτής της διατριβής είναι η κατανόηση της οικονομικής απόδοσης των εταιρειών και η λογική που καθορίζει την οικονομική τους κατάσταση και το επίπεδο ενεργοποίησής τους, τη συγκρισιμότητά τους και τις ενέργειες που πρέπει να κάνουν για την ενίσχυση της απόδοσής τους. Προκειμένου να επιτευχθούν οι στόχοι της μελέτης, γίνεται μια προσέγγιση δύο επιπέδων χρηματοοικονομικής ανάλυσης. Η πρώτη αφορά την συγκριτική ανάλυση των βασικών χρηματοοικονομικών στοιχείων των εταιρειών, όπως αυτά παρουσιάζονται στις οικονομικές τους καταστάσεις, κατά την περίοδο 2007-2015. Η περίοδος αυτή επιλέγεται με βάση την εκπόνηση των επιδόσεων των επιχειρήσεων πριν και κατά τη διάρκεια της οικονομικής κρίσης του 2008. Η δεύτερη, η οποία αποτελεί την κύρια μεθοδολογική προσέγγιση, είναι η οικονομική ανάλυση των εταιρειών μέσω της εκτίμησης των βασικών χρηματοοικονομικών δεικτών τους όσον αφορά τη ρευστότητα, τη δραστηριότητα, την κερδοφορία και τη διάρθρωση του κεφαλαίου τους. Αυτοί οι δείκτες υπολογίζονται επίσης για την περίοδο 2007-2015 και τα αποτελέσματά τους παρέχουν μια αποτελεσματική βάση για συγκρίσεις και εξαγωγή συμπερασμάτων.
    • The main objective of the study is the financial analysis of one of the most important sectors of the Greek economy, that of telecommunications, through the analysis of its major group of companies i.e. OTE SA, Forthnet SA, Vodafone Panafon S.A. and Wind S.A. The telecommunications sector plays arguably one of the most important roles in terms of socio-economic development, both in a global and a national level. Both fixed and mobile phone networks are no longer limited to transport voice data, but they cover a wider range of data / information.A parallel objective of this dissertation is the understanding of the financial performance of the companies and the rationale that sets and defines their financial status and level of activation, their comparability and the actions that need to be taken in order for their performance to be enhanced.In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a two-level financial analysis approach is conducted. The first one relates to the time-series analysis of the key financial data of the companies, as these are presented in their financial statements, during the period 2007-2015. This period is selected on the basis of elaboration of companies’ performance prior to and in the course of the 2008 financial crisis. The second one, which constitutes the main methodological approach, is the financial analysis of the companies through the estimation of their key financial ratios regarding their liquidity, activity, profitability and capital structure. These ratios are also calculated for the 2007-2015 period and their results provide an efficient basis for comparisons and drawing conclusions.
