    • Η παρούσα εργασία μελετά τη σχέση της σύγχρονης βιοκλιματικής αρχιτεκτονικής στην Ελλάδα και τη σύνδεσή της με την παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική στην ορεινή Αρκαδία και στα νησιά των Κυκλάδων. Αρχικά παρουσιάζονται οι αρχές, οι αξίες, οι μέθοδοι και οι τεχνικές της σύγχρονης βιοκλιματικής αρχιτεκτονικής, με στόχο να εξοικονομηθεί ενέργεια και να βελτιωθεί η θερμική συμπεριφορά των κτιρίων, ώστε να επικρατούν ιδανικές συνθήκες διαβίωσης. Στη συνέχεια αναλύονται τα επιμέρους χαρακτηριστικά, όπως η τυπολογία των κατόψεων, η διάρθρωση και η λειτουργία των χώρων, τα ανοίγματα, οι εξώστες, οι μεταβατικοί χώροι, λαμβάνοντας πάντα υπόψη όλους τους παράγοντες, όπως το κλίμα, το ανάγλυφο, τον αερισμό, το δροσισμό, το φωτισμό, τη βλάστηση κ.α., που συντελούν στη δημιουργία ενός βιώσιμου και ευχάριστου περιβάλλοντος. Ακόμη παρουσιάζονται οι κατασκευαστικές επιλογές και τα υλικά της παραδοσιακής αρχιτεκτονικής που αφορούν το κέλυφος, τη στέγη ή το δώμα, τα δάπεδα, τα εσωτερικά χωρίσματα κ.α. Έπειτα ακολουθεί η σύγκριση της σύγχρονης βιοκλιματικής αρχιτεκτονικής με την παραδοσιακή μέσα από παραδείγματα, ώστε να καταλήξουμε στο συμπέρασμα ότι η βιοκλιματική αρχιτεκτονική δεν είναι κάτι νέο, αλλά έχει τις ρίζες της στο παρελθόν και στην παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική. Βέβαια η παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική ήταν βασισμένη στον τρόπο ζωής εκείνης της εποχής και εξυπηρετούσε διαφορετικές ανάγκες από τις σημερινές. Στις ημέρες μας που η τεχνολογία έχει εξελιχθεί, η παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική έρχεται να δώσει το έναυσμα στη σύγχρονη, ώστε να αντλήσει έμπνευση από αυτή, εξελισσόμενη βέβαια και σύμφωνα με τα σημερινά τεχνολογικά μέσα.
    • This paper studies the relation between modern bioclimatic architecture in Greece and its connection with traditional architecture in mountainous Arcadia and the Cycladic islands. Initially, the principles, the values, the methods and the techniques of modern bioclimatic architecture are presented in order to save energy and improve the thermal behavior of buildings, so that ideal living conditions prevail. In the following, the design options such as the typology of the floor plans, the structure and the operation of the spaces, the openings, the balconies, the transition areas, taking into account all factors such as climate, relief, ventilation, cooling, lighting, vegetation and more, which contribute to the creation of a sustainable and pleasant environment. In addition, the construction options and the materials of the traditional architecture concerning the shell, the roof or the loft, the floors, the internal partitions, etc. are presented. Then a comparison is made between the bioclimatic architecture with the traditional architecture through examples to conclude that bioclimatic architecture is not something new but has its roots in the past and in traditional architecture. Certainly, the traditional architecture was based on the lifestyle of the past and served different needs from nowadays. At present days, the technology has evolved, traditional architecture gives the spark to the modern, to evolve with its help, but also with the current technological means.
