The final work is dealing with the environmental planning and management of Ag. Nikolas Park, that is lying in a distance of roughly 3 kilometres, southwest from the city of Naoussa, where the springs of Arapitsa river exist, and which flows trhrough a part oh the city of Naoussa. In addition the relation between the Park and the city, as well as the Parks socio- economic effects in local and regional scale will be examined. Objective of the recording is to: • locate and write down problems that were created by the intense and thoughtless use in the past. • elect the value, the importance and necessity of existence and maintenance of such ecosystems to the residents of Naoussa as well as to the many visitors from all over Greece. • Investigate ways of planning and interventions for the restoration of the landscape in its natural form, creating the conditions for sustainble development. As a result of the research, in the end, proposals of re-establishment, environmental management, arrangement of uses concerning recreation and interconnection with the socio-economic activities of city, are applied. The choice that was made for this Park, is because it constitutes a unique example, of the relation developed between man and natural environment through a combination of multiple activities, in the Hellenic space. The methodology that will be followed is mainly the research of relative cases, articles and directives from the domestic and international bibliography concerning the description, planning and management of relatively similar landscapes. Then a research of the area will take place for the investigation and analysis of present situation of the Park and then there will be a planning proposal, in a base of ecological – architectural – bioclimatic criteria. The final aim is the creation of a simple, functional, absolutely adapted in the specifications of existing natural environment landscape, but also sutisfying the requirements of the visitors.
