    • Η παρούσα εργασία σχετίζεται με την ανάλυση οικονομικών στοιχείων σαράντα τεσσάρων Δήμων που ανήκουν στους οκτώ Νομούς των Περιφερειών Δυτικής και Στερεάς Ελλάδος για τα έτη 2013-2015. H βιβλιογραφία διαθέτει μία σειρά από δείκτες, αλλά δε διαθέτει μία γενικά αποδεκτή μέθοδο για την οικονομική αξιολόγηση των Δήμων, ιδιαιτέρως όταν αυτή γίνεται σε συγκριτικό επίπεδο. Οι ιδιαιτερότητες στη λειτουργία των Δήμων δυσκολεύουν τη σύγκριση της οικονομικής ανάλυσης μεταξύ τους. Μέσα σε αυτό το πλαίσιο χρησιμοποιήσαμε δέκα οικονομικούς δείκτες και έξι εξωγενείς μεταβλητές, για να μελετήσουμε εάν υπάρχει συσχέτιση μεταξύ τους και για να κάνουμε συγκρίσεις μεταξύ των Δήμων αλλά και διαχρονικά.
    • The present study deals with an economic analysis of the financial performance of forty four selected municipalities belonging in the eight Prefectures of Dytiki and Sterea Ellada, for the years 2013 to 2015. Relevant theory provides for financial tools for the evaluation of municipalities' financial condition, but there is not a generally accepted method especially when there is a need for a comparative analysis among municipalities. Municipalities special operating features make the comparison of municipalities' performance a difficult task. Under this context, we used ten financial indicators and six exogenous variables to examine whether there is any statistical important correlation between them and to make comparisons among municipalities and inter temporally.
