    • O Κλάδος των οδικών εμπορευματικών μεταφορών (ΟΕΜ) αποτελεί κλάδο ζωτικής σημασίας για την ελληνική Οικονομία αφού οι ΟΕΜ αποτελούν τον κυρίαρχο τρόπο μεταφοράς στην Ελλάδα με ποσοστό 97.3% των συνολικών τονοχιλιομέτρων που πραγματοποιήθηκαν κατά το έτος 2015. Τα τελευταία χρόνια, ο τομέας των ΟΕΜ στην Ελλάδα έχει πληγεί σοβαρά, αλλά παραμένει ένας πολύ ελπιδοφόρος τομέας της ελληνικής οικονομίας. Πολλές ελληνικές εταιρείες μεταφορών επέλεξαν να μετακομίσουν σε γειτονικές βαλκανικές χώρες, ειδικά στη Βουλγαρία, προκειμένου να επιβιώσουν. Στόχος της παρούσας διατριβής είναι να εξεταστούν όλες οι διαθέσιμες πρόσφατες πληροφορίες, εξελίξεις, απειλές και ευκαιρίες του τομέα των ΟΕΜ στην Ελλάδα. Ταυτόχρονα, θα εξεταστούν οι λόγοι και τα αίτια που οδηγούν τις ελληνικές επιχειρήσεις ώστε να μετεγκατασταθούν σε γειτονικές βαλκανικές χώρες, καθώς και τις προκλήσεις που αντιμετωπίζουν οι εταιρείες στις χώρες αυτές. Επιπλέον, θα εξεταστούν εναλλακτικές πολιτικές και κίνητρα προκειμένου να μετριαστούν ή και να ανατραπούν οι τάσεις μετεγκατάστασης. Η ερευνητική μεθοδολογία που θα χρησιμοποιηθεί περιέχει ανασκόπηση της βιβλιογραφίας, δευτερεύοντα δεδομένα καθώς και τη χρήση ερωτηματολογίου για την καταγραφή και ανάλυση των απόψεων των εταιρειών ΟΕΜ.
    • The Road Freight Transport (RFT) sector is of vital importance for the Greek economy, since it accounts for 97.3% of total tone kilometers in Greece in 2015. In recent years, the road transport sector in Greece has been severely affected but still remains a very promising sector of the Greek economy. Many Greek transport companies have chosen to move to neighboring Balkan countries, especially to Bulgaria, in order to survive competition. The aim of this dissertation is to critically discuss all the available recent information, developments, threats and opportunities of the RFT sector in Greece. At the same time the reasons and causes that lead RFT Greek businesses to relocate to Balkan countries will be addressed along with the challenges that the companies face in those countries. The pros and cons will be discussed from various perspectives. In addition, alternative policies and incentives will be examined in order to mitigate or even reverse the relocation tendencies. The research methodology that will be employed accommodates literature review, secondary data and the use of a questionnaire in order to record and analyze the views of RFT companies.
