    • Η Διοίκηση με Βάση την Αποστολή είναι μια φιλοσοφία που όπως και η προκάτοχός της, Auftragstaktik, από τον Πρωσικό Στρατό, απαιτεί συγκεκριμένα χαρακτηριστικά για να λειτουργήσει αποτελεσματικά. Το παρόν και το μελλοντικό περιβάλλον εφαρμογής της επιβάλλει μια διαφορετική φιλοσοφία διοίκησης για να αντιμετωπίσει τις συνεχώς μεταβαλλόμενες και απρόβλεπτες καταστάσεις και τις υβριδικές απειλές. Πολλοί Στρατοί Δυτικών Χωρών έχουν καταστήσει την Διοίκηση με Βάση την Αποστολή ως έναν ακρογωνιαίο λίθο στην εξέλιξη της ηγεσίας και της διοίκησης στρατευμάτων. Η Διοίκηση με Βάση την Αποστολή δίνει έμφαση στην εξουσιοδότηση των υφισταμένων για ανάληψη της πρωτοβουλίας και να δράσουν ανεξάρτητα εντός της πρόθεσης του διοικητή. Αυτή η εργασία παρουσιάζει μια ιστορική αναδρομή της εξέλιξης της Διοίκησης με Βάση την Αποστολή. Επίσης εξετάζει τα εμπόδια που απαγορεύουν την υιοθέτησή της αλλά και τις προϋποθέσεις που διευκολύνουν την ενσωμάτωσή της. Επιπλέον, οι ηγέτες σε κάθε οργανισμό, παίζουν έναν καθοριστικό ρόλο στην εφαρμογή μιας νέας φιλοσοφίας διοίκησης. Τα στυλ ηγεσίας και η ανάπτυξη της ηγεσίας έχουν απασχολήσει τις Ένοπλες Δυνάμεις για πολλά χρόνια. Η εργασία αυτή επικεντρώνεται στην συσχέτιση των ηγετών στον Ελληνικό Στρατό με τις αρχές της Διοίκησης με Βάση την Αποστολή. Η συγκεκριμένη δουλειά λαμβάνει υπ’ όψιν την ικανότητα να βελτιώσει αυτές τις αρχές στον οργανισμό τους. Επιπροσθέτως, παρέχει μια ανάλυση της επίδρασης των ηγετών στην κείμενη Διοίκηση με Βάση την Αποστολή παρέχοντας την εφαρμογή της στον Ελληνικό Στρατό.
    • Mission Command is a philosophy that like its predecessor, Auftragstaktik, from the PrussianArmy requires specific characteristics to function effectively. The current and future operational environment imposes a different command philosophy to face fast-changing situations, hybrid threats, and uncertainty. Mainy Westsern Armies have made Mission Command a cornerstone of leadership development and of commanding troops. Mission Command emphasizes the delegation of initiative to suborbiantes to act independently within the commander’s intent. This study presents a historical overview of Mission Command evolution. It also examines the barriers prohibiting its adoption and the prerequisites that facilitate its incorporation. Furthermore, leaders in every organization, play a major role in implementing a new command philosophy. The leadership styles and leadership development has preoccupied the Armed forces for many years. This study focuses on the relevance of leaders in the Greek Army with the principles of Mission Command. The specific work takes into account their capability to enhance those principles in their organization. Moreover, provides an analysis of leaders’ effect in embedding Mission Command and facilitating its implementation in the Greek Army.
