    • Employee engagement has become a popular and powerful concept receiving attention in both the academic literature and business industry. The present research critically examines the existing literature regarding employee engagement and other related psychological constructs such as job satisfaction, job involvement and organizational commitment. Moreover, this case study puts Nokia Networks Athens R&D site under scrutiny and proposes a model based on social exchange theory in order to identify the key determinants and outcomes of employee engagement and also investigate the mediating effect of EE between its antecedents and certain outcomes like job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention was estimated using single regressions.
    • Η δέσμευση των εργαζομένων έχει αναδειχθεί σε δημοφιλή έννοια και απολαμβάνει της προσοχής τόσο της ακαδημαϊκής όσο και της επιχειρηματικής κοινότητας. Η παρούσα έρευνα στο R&D τμήμα της Nokia Networks στην Αθήνα, αναλύει την υπάρχουσα βιβλιογραφία σχετικά με το θέμα καθώς και παραπλήσια ψυχολογικά φαινόμενα όπως η ικανοποίηση από την εργασία, η αφοσίωση στον οργανισμό και η ενεργή ενασχόληση στην εργασία. Επιπλέον, παραθέτει ένα μοντέλο βασισμένο στη θεωρία κοινωνικής αλληλεπίδρασης ώστε να εντοπίσει τους σημαντικούς παράγοντες που επηρεάζουν το φαινόμενο αλλά και συγκεκριμένα αποτελέσματά του όπως η ικανοποίηση από την εργασία, η αφοσίωση στον οργανισμό και η πρόθεση παραμονής σε αυτόν.
