    • Ανά τους αιώνες, η ανθρωπότητα μελέτησε και εξέλιξε την επιστήμη του Μάνατζμεντ και της Ηγεσίας. Οι άνθρωποι πιστεύουν συχνά ότι αυτές οι δύο έννοιες είναι ταυτόσημες. Αλλά δεν είναι. Υπάρχουν αρκετές διαφορές μεταξύ τους, ακόμα και εάν τις περισσότερες φορές δεν είναι εύκολο να εντοπιστούν. Και αυτές οι διαφορές είναι που καθορίζουν το ποιος είναι Μάνατζερ και ποιος είναι πραγματικός Ηγέτης. Αυτή η διατριβή εξετάζει τα χαρακτηριστικά τόσο των Μάνατζερ όσο και των Ηγετών και προσπαθεί να τους διαχωρίσει. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο, παρουσιάζονται τα βήματα για τη μετάβαση από Μάνατζερ σε Ηγέτη. Ξεκινώντας με το θεωρητικό πλαίσιο, επιχειρείται να παρουσιαστούν οι κύριες θεωρίες και αντιλήψεις, βασιζόμενοι σε προηγούμενες μελέτες σχετικά με το μάνατζμεντ και την ηγεσία. Επιπλέον, μια πρωτογενής έρευνα διεξήχθη σε Ελληνικές Βιομηχανικές Μονάδες και 108 εργαζόμενοι, μάνατζερ και μη μάνατζερ, απάντησαν στο ερωτηματολόγιο. Από την ανάλυση των δεδομένων προέκυψαν πολλά χρήσιμα συμπεράσματα που έχουν ως σκοπό να αναγνωριστεί το επίπεδο των δεξιοτήτων και ικανοτήτων των Μάνατζερ στην Ελληνική Βιομηχανία. Ένα από τα πιο χρήσιμα συμπεράσματα αυτής της μελέτης ήταν ότι οι μάνατζερ δεν είχαν όραμα, το οποίο είναι ένα από τα βασικά χαρακτηριστικά ενός ηγέτη.
    • Throughout centuries, man studies and evolves the science of Management and Leadership. People often believe that these two concepts are the same thing. But they are not. There are many differences between them, even if it is not most of the times easy to be seen. And those differences define who is a Manager and who is a true Leader. This dissertation examines the characteristics of both Managers and Leaders and tries to separate them from each other. Under this light, the steps for the transformation from Manager to Leader are presented. Beginning with the theoretical framework, an attempt to present the main theories and concepts is made which is based on previous studies concerning the area of management and leadership. Moreover, primary research was carried out in Greek Manufacturing Industries, with 108 employees, managers and non-managers answering a structured questionnaire. The aim of the research was to identify the level of managerial and leadership skills and abilities of managers in the Greek Manufacturing Industry. One of the most useful conclusion of this study was that the managers have no vision, which is one of the key characteristics of the leader.
