    • Με την αυξανόμενη παγκόσμια τάση της παράνομης, αλλά και νόμιμης ανταλλαγής αποβλήτων ηλεκτρικού & ηλεκτρονικού εξοπλισμού (ΑΗΗΕ), έρχεται στο προσκήνιο το αυξανόμενο παγκόσμιο επιστημονικό και πολιτικό ενδιαφέρον για τις άτυπες και "φτωχές" διεργασίες ανακύκλωσης ή ανάκτησης ΑΗΗΕ, ιδίως στις αναπτυσσόμενες Χώρες . Κάποιος που δε γνωρίζει για τη σύσταση των ΑΗΗΕ θεωρεί ότι δεν είναι απειλητικά ως προς το περιβάλλον, αλλά και σε αυτόν. Αυτό αποδεικνύεται από το πλήθος των εργατών στα παράνομα εργαστήρια στις Αναπτυσσόμενες Χώρες. Ο κίνδυνος απέναντι στο εργατικό δυναμικό που πλαισιώνει τα παράνομα εργαστήρια ΑΗΗΕ καταρχήν, αλλά και στο περιβάλλον εν γένει, αυξάνεται με την έλλειψη μέτρων προστασίας της υγείας και με τη χρήση ανορθόδοξων τεχνικών ανακύκλωσης ΑΗΗΕ. Σχεδόν, οι περισσότεροι ρυπαντές που διοχετεύονται στο περιβάλλον, από πάσχουσες εργασίες ανάκτησης ΑΗΗΕ, έχουν την ιδιότητα της διασυνοριακής μεταφοράς και γι' αυτό πολλές φορές ανιχνεύονται ρυπαντές σε περιοχές που δεν έχουν παραχθεί ποτέ. Η παρούσα εργασία αφορά σε συγκέντρωση & επεξεργασία δεδομένων, όπως προέκυψαν από επιστημονικές έρευνες σχετικά με τους κινδύνους που ενέχουν οι διεργασίες επεξεργασίας ΑΗΗΕ, χωρίς να λαμβάνονται τα απαραίτητα μέτρα προστασίας. Αυτό συμβαίνει, διότι τα ΑΗΗΕ, όσο ακίνδυνα και καθαρά και αν φαίνονται, από άποψη έλλειψης οσμής ή διάφορων άλλων χαρακτηριστικών που συνοδεύουν συνήθως τα απόβλητα, τόσο πιο επικίνδυνα είναι.
    • With the growing global trend of illegal and legal WEEE, the increasing global scientific and political interest in atypical and "poor" recycling/recovery processes for WEEE, particularly in developing countries, is coming to the fore. Someone who does not know about the establishment of WEEE believes that they are neither environmentally either humanly threatening. It is evidenced by the multitude of workers in the illicit workshops in the Developing Countries. The risk to the workforce framed by illegal WEEE laboratories in principle, but also to the environment in general, is increased by the lack of health protection measures and the use of unorthodox WEEE recycling techniques. Almost all pollutants released into the environment from affected WEEE recovery operations have the status of cross-border transport, and so pollutants are often detected in areas that have never been produced. This work concerns about the collection and processing of data, as derived from scientific research into the risks of WEEE processes, without taking the necessary protective measures. WEEE, as clean and safely as they may seem, in terms of lack of odor or various other characteristics usually accompanying waste, the more dangerous it is.
