Abstract: This dissertation deals with the needs, attitudes and beliefs of Foreign Language Teachers of refugees in Greece. The great flow of refugees arriving in Greece and the attempts to help them integrate into the Greek reality has led into the formation of a number of education structures throughout Greece. In order to do so, a number of questionnaires were completed by teachers of refugees, teaching in relevant educational structures in Greece, such as refugee camps and public schools. The data analysis provided us with further understanding of the problems teachers face, their training in teaching refugees and suggested solutions to these problems. The teacher training toolkit is ultimately based on the aforementioned findings which involve the problems teachers face in class and the solutions they have come up with. All these findings have been incorporated in an easy to use checklist. The data collected covered a broad range of teaching environments, such as public schools or refugee camps, as well as student age which makes this teacher toolkit not only teacher friendly but also versatile and easy to be adapted in various teaching contexts.
