Abstract: The use of Social Media tends to be an integral part of the daily routine of millions of people globally. Companies instead of being passive viewers to this social phenomenon, they have incorporated this use in their organizational practices. The present dissertation is trying to determine the importance of the corporate use of Social Media, from a Human Resources function perspective. Additionally this thesis examines the actual use of Social Media for Human Resources function by companies that are active in the Hellenic area, through survey analysis.
